When you import your graphics Stencyl creates a spritesheet for that animation. You can import spritesheets but I find that stencyl is a little picky about them, so I just let stencyl create the sprite sheet. Attached is a spritesheet of the game that stencyl generated feel free to take a look :)

Ahhh I see - be interesting to see how Stencyl's spritesheet method compares to other spritesheets.. maybe not big of a difference.

A universal app definitely creates a lot of memory because of the different image size setups.  I spent awhile programming with LUA and managed to only have 2 sets of images for universal- discarding anything below retina as I think the older devices that don't support retina are slowly going to the wayside , especially people who use their phones for Apps / games.

Anyways - like the animations , worth the extra memory!  Helps bring life to a game imo

You mention sprites, do you use Spritesheets or does Stencyl support such?

Thanks, I wasn't to keen on making the clouds stand out too much as I felt they'd be a distraction. They're there as a sort of background movement.

I understand - it's not that I don't see them as much - my eyes still recognize them but it's like they are blurred in with BG - just nit picking and take it as feedback and nothing more!

Good luck with the game , hope it takes off

Nice graphics / style - tight simple gameplay - well done.

My only nit-pick would be to outline the clouds as they are kind of hard to see/blend in too much with BG.

Overall really well made as always =}

"Far from being a clone game Flappy, I created my own ideas to make the most fun and enjoyable game to play."

So it's like Flappy Bird AND SwingCopters (dong's other game) ...lol

Well - looks good, but I'm so burned out on these games - good luck!

Yeah I think it's common to have less then 500 downloads on most games you will submit... even if you like them a lot.

The only way I figured to get more then usual downloads is to get recognized by Apples featured list, Review sites, or independent sites / popular youtubers that recognize your game.

The market is saturated for sure since Flappy's success - everyone wants to make a simple one hit wonder.  I'm starting to focus more on one game idea, try to make it as innovative as possible, and go full steam (multiple levels, animations, etc.).

Best of luck!  Success never comes easy.

Thank you so much ! But it is still wayyyyyy  to lame to be supported from Apple in the new and noteworthy section :-)

Yeah I hear ya on that - it's quite difficult to get on that list nowadays, lots of competition that have a lot of content and effects in their Apps.

I like your game, simple but polished and sharp!  Keep plugging away..

Hi all, It's been a while since the last update, I've been busy working on other games, most recently a little game called Angry Birds transformers which is available to download for iOS now! There is going to be a big Super Crash Land update very soon, in the meantime it'd be great if everyone could carry on liking/sharing the facebook page, thanks and stay tuned!..

New website at www.supercrashland.com or head over to fb.com/SuperCrashLand for regular updates.

You worked on Angry Birds Transformers?  That's not a small game.. made by Rovio ..

Pics/videos of your game reminds me of this old school space game.. I forget the name, but it was one of the first games I ever played 25+ years ago -  think it was on Atari or some other ancient device.  Brings back nostalgia!

I think why Free games get so popular is everyone has access to them.  More and more kids are getting these smartphones - but may not have a credit card or a method to purchase anything without bugging their parents.  Hence why they may gravitate towards the free isle.

Anyways , enough of my stupid input ;}

 Good luck!

Looks interesting-

This may sound crazy but probably because of the $1.99 pricetag is abeit steep for these type of games.  Try a sale for 0.99 to see if it gets any more popular.. then maybe even offer it for free for a couple days further down the line.

There's no consistency in the controls.. You say no leaderboards, yet there's leaderboards button?  LuLz?

Anyways - when you say: "I spent less time on it than on the previous game (no leader-boards...) as I was pretty disappointed with so few downloads for the first game."

Wouldn't you want to focus MORE time on a project to improve?
