I'm somewhat baffled as to why there isn't a game attribute for actors because it would make everything a HECK of a lot easier.

- Master Stencyler
An actor only exists within a single scene, so it doesn't make sense to have a separate game attribute type for things that shouldn't be saved anyway. You can still use the "value of game attribute" and "set game attribute" blocks to store other types. If you meant actor type and not actor, you can save the text name of the actor type and then use the "actor type with name" block to convert that text name into the actor type.
