I'm trying to increase the amount of force based on the duration of the mouse pressed.
I can't get the behavior to shoot after I've added in these few events. Initially it was simple :When Shoot happens, create Bullet...Push last created actor...etc. It was working, but once I've added in the setShootTimer and the other blocks, it doesn't shoot out bullets anymore.

How do I solve this or is there a better way of increasing the pushing force based on duration?

I'm making a game where player has to keep an actor suspended in the air. Would like to add some bonus scores if player can make the actor spin more than a couple of times. How do I count the number of times an actor has rotated?

Hi all!

How do I change the direction of where the actor is pointing based on the last click position of the mouse?

Ask a Question / Recommended graphic resolution

Hi all!

Is it now recommended to do the graphics at 2732 x 2048 due to the iPad Pro resolution?

Ask a Question / Actor indicator when off screen.
« on: February 01, 2016, 10:07:02 am »

I'm doing some shooter game where the character has to shoot an object and not let it hit the ground. I was wondering how do I do an indicator as to which direction the actor is falling from when it exits the screen.

Is there a block that checks for screen boundaries?

I'm thinking of checking the Y axis of the actor, so if it goes above a value, then an indicator will appear like the one I drew using paint, and it'll slide across the top of the screen if the actor moves towards an X value while it's falling. How do I achieve this?

Hi all, sry to trouble again.

I've been trying to figure out why I am suddenly unable to fire bullets.
I initially wanted to send screenshots, but I don't think it'll be quite messy to show all the screenshots of my behaviour, etc because I don't know where to begin.
I don't know which one is causing the problem so I thought it best to attach the file.

Really appreciate the help!

Ask a Question / Showing damager counter per hit
« on: January 03, 2016, 10:43:15 pm »

I'm trying to show a damage counter everytime player hits the enemy. I'm able to Draw the Score, however, I want my Score to appear every time I hit the enemy, then disappear after after a while. Similar to those RPG.

Tried out the opacity option, but it doesn't work.

Ask a Question / Actor leaving scene, then returning.
« on: January 03, 2016, 12:20:12 am »

I have an actor that needs to leave the scene, then return again by dropping down. But each time my actor leaves the scene, it gets stuck at the top.

I do not know what event I should screenshot to show you, as the only event in my actor is to kill self after hitting another actor(ground). Please let me know what events I should screenshot for you to help me better!

Ask a Question / Pushing bullets to last click position of mouse?
« on: December 28, 2015, 10:20:29 pm »

How do I set the bullet to travel to the last click position of the mouse?

I tried using the X of mouse and Y of mouse blocks, but I think I'm using it wrongly.

Extension Ideas / Audio converter
« on: November 17, 2015, 10:41:45 am »

I wonder if it's already been done, but can we have an audio converter to convert the audio files to the suitable format easily in Stencyl?

We could just use Audacity or FLV converter, but it's just an idea for convenience to ease the workflow.

Suggestion Archives / Adjusting collision for frames in 1 animation
« on: September 18, 2015, 04:58:22 am »
Would it be easier if we could adjust the collision for each frame in an animation?

I'm a newbie and I don't know if this will create other issues.  I'm aware that there is a behaviour called Endless Animation, but I don't quite understand the instructions (pardon me).

Ask a Question / How to use the behaviour Endless Animation?
« on: September 18, 2015, 12:18:18 am »

I'm trying to seam different animations together and was taught another method on how to do it. But another user suggested trying out the Endless Animation and I thought of exploring that function in Stencyl.
I've tried using the Endless Animation behaviour but don't understand how to make it work. I guess I just can't understand the instructions.

Can someone teach me how it works and how to use it? Sorry for the trouble!

Journals / Jumpy Zoo [iOS & Android]
« on: September 14, 2015, 11:33:17 am »

This is the first game I am developing with my friends titled Jumpy Zoo. Jumpy Zoo is a simple highscore game, just like many others. Players can unlock different characters either by  buying or achieving a certain score.

*Changed the gameplay to only Jumping. Previously was a combination of running and jumping.
*Revamped art style.
*Changed the flow of the different scenes.
