I tried that, but since the dialog is tided to the Scene and not the Textbox itself it still appears behind the Textbox, I think because it's anchored.  Or are you saying I should try to turn the Textbox into an Image?

I have a textbox I need to stay centered as the camera moves, but using the Anchor Block means the text always draws behind the textbox.  Is there a way to anchor the text box where I need it while keeping it on the layer I place it on?

Ok, thanks I'll try that.

Edit, ok I got it to work, just this is basic behavior took sooo much trial and error.  Thought I better post it in case someone else has the same difficulty.

Thanks, that had some good info in it, though not really anything about images.  Though I had a thought, are Tilesets similar to images in terms of memory usage?

Yeah, after you mentioned it I looked it up on Stencylpedia, but I found it confusing to say the least.  Is there maybe a video tutorial?

I have a large actor that I'm realizing could just be a background, but I'm trying to keep the scene from getting laggy so which would be more efficient?

Ask a Question / Floating Damage Numbers

I'm trying to create a Behavior that draws numbers that float up above the actors after they take damage like in many RPGs.  What's the best way to do that?

Ask a Question / How much memeory can I use per Scene?

I'm looking to keep my games from crashing between scenes, so far no problems, but what should I be aiming for per scene to keep the game stable?  is 100MB per scene safe, what about 200MB?

So I'm making a bar to track the player's Stamina and I'm drawing it as a filled rectangle
If you show us a screenshot of your current code, we could tell you how to modify it to add the "side by side" drawing method.

Sorry it took so long, wasn't feeling well.  Anyway here's what I've come up with:

It's fairly simple, but it works, I just need a way to fill a black circle underneath without the overlapping drawings bring down the frame rate.

Side by side sounds good, but how would I do that?

So I'm making a bar to track the player's Stamina and I'm drawing it as a filled rectangle, but I want to make it more visible when the bar is low by having the empty part of the bar in black.  So what is the best way to do it without just having two overlapping drawings?

Thanks, I'll message your inbox here and I'll explain the issue.

We have a behavior that does what it needs to, but requires fine tuning that is beyond our skill.  It shouldn't take very long, it's mostly a complex math issue but it will require knowledge of Stencyl.  I can offer $50 plus your name in the credits.
