I think you could have at least one more frame of him turning so it doesn't look so sudden. I'm really liking the stepping down though.
I think you're spot on about that.  I was considering adding a frame or two in there but am worried about my drawing skills pulling it off.  Something to work on for sure!  Thanks.

Animation of main actor re-spawning in his replication chamber.

Cool.  Thanks for explaining that.  The more I work with Stencyl and the more I read what other people are making with it the more I see how versatile Stencyl really is.  Definitely one of the better game trailers I've seen around these parts.  I'm looking forward to checking this game out.

Difficult indeed!  I like the simplicity of it though.

Okay, smoke dies out and also added some dirt that the treads are kicking back.  Thoughts and comments always welcome.  The moving treads still look like they're going the wrong direction sometimes but like Merrak said once this vehicle is actually moving it shouldn't be a problem.

Have you checked the collision groups between the moving platform and your ball actor?

Nice trailer MrWagoner!  How much of that trailer was made with in-game footage and how much was other stuff (Like the panning of scenes)?

Resolved Questions / Re: Some questions about Free and Paid versions
« on: October 25, 2014, 11:02:23 am »
It would be nice if it was more clear on what exactly the free version can and cannot do.  Other software normally has a checklist of the features or a feature comparison for easily distinguishing these things and that would be nice to see with Stencyl as well.  I like Stencyl a lot but the documentation is definitely lacking.

Whoops!  That's my mistake for misunderstanding.  I thought it was to see the most recent replies to any posts made by anybody.  You can delete this post.  It would be nice if that was made possibly more clear so as not to confuse other people.

Not sure if this is the right section to put this in but for this website the New Replies section doesn't really have new replies in there… they go way back and I know people have been replying to more recent posts.  What gives?  Am I missing something?

Why dont you create smoke bubbles above the chimney which fade out? This will create a nice effect if the machine rolls into one direction and you doitn have to worry about having multiple animations (for several directions).Keep up the good work!
The fewer animations the better!  I think that's the approach I will take.  Thanks!

Looks great to me; I like all the little details in the wheel. I think once it's moving, it'll be clear which way the track is going.
Cool.  Thanks for the feedback.  I'll also make it so the smoke doesn't disappear all of a sudden but dissipates.  In Stencyl I'll probably have to make the smoke it's own separate actor.

I thought it was spinning correctly until I blinked. Apparently, it's a bit of an illusion which way it's actually spinning :D If the smoke didn't give the true direction away, I bet you could use the same animation for left or right movement, and nobody could tell.
True, lol, sometimes it does look like it's going the correct way but if you look away or take your eye off it looks backward.  Maybe I should just make the smoke go up… nah, that would be a cop out.  What do you think otherwise though, animation any good, pixel art decent?
