I'm trying to update my avatar, but the site won't let me. It keeps saying "Avatar Updated" but it never does. Does anyone know how to fix this.

Ask a Question / Whats the maximum size for actors?

I've been wondering what the max size is mostly cuz I wanna make a game with a pretty big actor. I always thought that the max size was 16x16 because whenever u wanna make an actor, it gives u this really small 16x16 area. But i noticed that must be possible cuz AdventureIslands hazza Giant ball in Level 10 of Dangerous Dungeons that is definitely larger than 16x16. I then tried to import a larger image, but it just compacted itself down to 16x16 and looked horrible. Does this mean that u hafta "grow [self] to (w:[200]% h:[200]%) over [0 ] sec using [none]"? If so, why doesn't Stencyl have support for slightly larger actors?

I'm trying to make a fullscreen button for a game, but idk how u do that. If u dont know, u can still mess around with the enable/disable fullscreen block located under
Scene ---> View ---> Effects ---> Enable/Disable Fullscreen

Just a little question I want answered because in the future I will wanna use this. So what does the game actually save when you save your game? What I mean is, does it save the game attributes, or something else?

Ask a Question / Wall Jumping or Sliding Problem (need help)

ive been trying to make my own run and jump behavior from scratch with almost no experience but ive had a problem with it being able to air jump. I tried to make a "Touching Ground?" boolean attribute but it would just disable jumping. Jump with z, move with arrow keys. Here is the very unfinished game. Program listed below:

Game Art / Can someone give pixel art tutorials for free? [Solved]

I am still trying to learn Stencyl. I finally decided to ask AdventureIslands how he got good and he said:

I learned Stencyl pretty much by trial and error, there were not very good tutorials when I first started using it. I started learning with Dangerous Dungeons and because I wanted every level to have some kind of new element from moveable boxes to jumping fireballs, it forced me to constantly experiment and learn something new.

Check out the example games that come with Stencyl to see how different features are done in them.

To improve in designing, play lots of games, especially old 2D ones, and keep eye on how different things and objects are designed in them and how they work.

But i realized that pretty much the only thing stopping me from trying to do what he did is that i cant make graphics to test with. Ill take tutorials for any free photo editing program as long as its available for mac. Also, if u know of any great pixel art tutorial, feel free to share it with me. I would prefer tutorials with Inkscape since that is what i currently have, but anything will do. Thnx!

Ask a Question / How to create enemy random movement?

The movement isn't really a concern for me, that really isn't the hard part at all. What i really mean is that i wanna know how to make an enemy kinda go for not only u, but also other enemies. At the same time not really chase someone around, but kinda approach someone and shoot at them.
is it easy now, or r u just a genius?

Im making a tank game and im trying to make a tank barrel rotate and point towards the mouse pointer. First, how do u make an actor point towards a mouse pointer? Second, how do you make a bullet fire out of the barrel shooting in the same direction as the barrel?
