Okay so I am  making an effort here because the codes I will need to write differ from stenyl's capabilities . Anyway why would this updater not call my debug method here in Haxe?
Code: [Select]
public function new(dummy:Int, dummy2:Engine)

addWhenUpdatedListener(null, onUpdate);
addWhenDrawingListener(null, onDraw);

public function onUpdate(elapsedTime:Float, list:Array<Dynamic>)

public function onDraw(g:G, x:Float, y:Float, list:Array<Dynamic>)
public function DebugMethod(){

Is there some collider in the way maybe?

Or do you have a code to keep player within a bounds?

okay then ill have to learn how to haxe and call to public functions using custom blocks | (OR) Just use the interface...
(I'm Just always running outta "Stencyl Memory".) Which can be annoying...

thanks, Rob!

Hey guys been away for a bit learning to code. Here's the story. If I can either use C# to code sound king 2 or learn haxe then some of these ideas may be doable. Give me some time to figure it out and we'll see what comes out!!!

As always, thank you for your input!
Sincerely, Justin Shellhorn.

Hey guys I have been away for a bit. But, I have learned to code.... in C#. I was wanting to know if I could potentially use these skills to build sound king 2. I feel that I could create much better stuff this way. Thanks for your time!

If not, then maybe someone can tell me why this doesn't create a custom block in Stencyl's interface...

And holy cow... code tags work here???!!!, Cool!

Code: [Select]
public function _customBlock_DebugBlock (__Sound:Sound):Void{

Ask a Question / Ideas for Sound King 2_0?
« on: March 21, 2015, 02:07:51 pm »
Hey guys and gals, as some of you may have heard Sound King 2 is currently under development. At this time I am Taking Ideas for added features and changes. So if you have an idea please let me know.

Sound King is an automatic sound and channel allocator. Basically Sound king can automatically find an open channel to play, loop, echo, and cross fade sounds and more. Additional details about the original sound king can be found @,35672.0.html

***Currently in the works***
*A game attribute no longer needs to be created (This now happens internally)
*Sound King no longer stops running after crash prevention enables.
*Custom Play Lists (savable) and blocks to control this.
*On The Fly Resource Usage Toggle
*Changes to many existing custom blocks.
*Sound King has been updated to use the map system (provides more control)
*Changes to the reserve channel system
*In order to "hopefully" go around a downloading bug from the forge regarding custom blocks contained within custom blocks, Sound King now triggers it's  own custom blocks (when needed) via code. Note that this has no effect when the custom blocks are used by you.

***Added custom blocks***

*Get channel for [sound]
*Get sound on [channel]
*Get name of sound on channel
*Sound is looping?
*Resource Usage getters & setters
*Get "time" for sound / channel (in seconds)
*Get volume for sound

*A while back, another stencyler had a great idea on a set of custom blocks that would allow for pitch shifting and other effects. If there is someone willing to help me with an example on how to do this, it would be much appreciated. Contact me either here or in my inbox for more details.

Thanks, PlaytheHnote.

Resolved Questions / Re: #SOLVED Cannot iterate on a Dynamic value?
« on: March 20, 2015, 02:23:55 pm »
If anyone is interested in how to solve this problem I have posted a screen shot below to show how. I have included both a method for using attributes and a method for using var(s).

Thanks again for your help.

Easy enough, thanks a lot!!!

Resolved Questions / #SOLVED Cannot iterate on a Dynamic value?
« on: March 20, 2015, 01:11:17 pm »
Hey again everyone I'm working on Sound King 2_0 and I have come across a problem that I do not really understand. Below I have posted a cut off small screen shot of the part of my behavior that has the problem. The error that I am encountering says: Cannot iterate on a dynamic value please specify...

Anyway, why is this happening??? (I know it has something to do with the map)

Okay I think I may have figured it out and crashed my web browser lol. Let me play with it some. I may have another Q later

Okay didn't know you actually had to test in the browser. Now there are no error messages but the values of x and y are not getting set. Do you know what that's about by chance?

I'm using the info found at in the help section

Hey everyone, I'm still trying to master data transfers to and from my site. However, I think my site may be missing something or another as far as where this data will be stored. Below I have included a screen shot of my "test behavior" and the very end of my logs. If you need a full log generated in order to help me, let me know and I will post it.

*The idea behind this script; is to post the key "data" to a value of "100,100" then go back and get that key and create an actor given the info of the value.

Here is the error that I keep getting:

If anyone can shed some light on the missing components here I would much appreciate it.
Thanks again in advance!

What I was actually talking about I was able to do with the new set origin for image block however, thank you for this as well because this will be a solution to a whole bunch of other things that I have to do also. Thanks again for your help!

Thank you so much for the reply I will try to integrate this alg. into my program as soon as I have a chance I really appreciate it.

Or if anyone knows how to get an image instance to rotate from center, that could work too. (Even better actually.)
