I am just saying that, if something is so cruel you can't see it, how can you justify contributing to it? I apologize if you don't like this thread.
I don't dislike this thread.
Some people, regardless of being anti-meat or not, can get triggered by these images, and I'm not talking about just finding the images gory, but to actually get sick just by seeing them (like passing out in a worst case scenario).
People have their reasons to eat meat even when they know what's behind the scenes and don't want to see it, reasons which you can not agree with, and it's okay you are against it. Why do they eat meat, then? There are a good number of arguments (money issues, difficulty on eating something else, etc.) which, again, you can disagree with. By linking the images people can make their own judgement if they are able to see these images or not. I don't think raising awareness with these images is bad, but it's not worth to make someone feel physically sick with it, even if it's for a good cause, so if you link them and someone doesn't want to click on them, then you can continue debating by text.
Cooked food is different in that regard. In my opinion it's because it no longer fully resembles a dead animal. A steak doesn't look like a cow, for instance. A cooked codfish might still look like a codfish, although it doesn't have or have little blood, so most people are comfortable seeing it. Some people can get nauseous with the sight of blood. (I'm not discussing the ethics of eating animals, just answering your question on why most people don't mind seeing pictures of them cooked)
