Ask a Question / Control button function broken

What if I think the control button function is broken on my stenylworks- I mean default buttons don't work and newly created ones also don't work and I just reinstalled? How do  I check for sure? Is there a workaround? Fortunately the mouse works so I am making all controls mouse based.

I have a Japanese language Win7 Fujitsu computer (wife's computer). When I first installed, it worked fine. I couldn't quite get the crash course demo to quite work right - only there no collision occurring- it opened in Flash Player but now it always goes through the browser (IE8). I moved the output file from my wife's folder and a few other places including My Documents (of the actual name is in Japanese) and the only problem was  that Update doesn't work- something about move output folder to My Documents or set user as adminstrator ( I am quite sure the user name is an adminstrator since I couldn't install without it). That parts is a small bug which manual update could get round. I uninstalled and reinstalled and autoupdate still doesn't work. Folder don't have / as delimiter when looked through Windows on this computer. 
But now I tried a very very simple program where up was the up arrow  at one time and later S- no errors. I checked it wasn't a language setting but it was definitely set to English at the time
Once the up arrow worked after a lag but afterwards it wouldn't respond in no matter what click setting whereas mouse worked with all three settings- obviously its this computer but whether its the operating system, the computer or some component- I  don't know.

Other onlines games have no general problem except for stuck key disorder or the accidental change to Japanese entry which opens an external dialogue box.  Direct play through IoStenyl website works- no problem about keyboard entry.

Old Questions (from 1.x/2.x) / Does Test Game check isolated Behaviours

The Test Game functions seems to check the code of behaviours whether or not they are not attached to a character or a scene. Is that right? So if you have some code that isn't quite right and not in use and you want fix and attach later- how do you mark it as text or something so it isn't checked?

Can StencilWorks produce a simple map of the connections between actors,scenes and behaviours so you can see what's joined where and if there is junk connected then you can deactivate it or delete?

I appreciate the great work that Jon- CEO (and other high level stenyl personnel) produce and put message up but could put all his/their announcement/ information links in the news subforum ( or at least double up) because I didn't think people realise how many there are until I looked through a number of subforums.

Game Ideas / Novel Tower Defence

I want to make a novel tower defence where you add abilities to control towers, gain knowledge and similar  by having idle time. You need to have a constant check game window is active and then either be able to check the time that a mouse is inactive (which would be more flexible) or click box  which deactivate the mouse control for a period of time. Is that doable iStencyl?
The game logic is the controls are in alien and pschic communication is needed and you to meditate or else it messes your brain up.

This is my wife's computer and its a pain to ask her to allow me to install software so I want to
sure before I fight that battle.


Other features intended such as totally controllable tower settings when you gain control (no upgrades);  probablistic damage on towers due to themselves being set too high or going crazy when the spacebugs get too close to base or other towers hit them or sometimes bugs rebound the fire; tower logic programming; bug armour and its destruction; during battle  ammunition  limits.

The win is you kill all the bugs and the aliens give you a reward.
 I intend to skimp on the graphics of fire- unnecesary for game play.
