Ask a Question / Can't run/test any game
« on: August 28, 2017, 08:23:26 am »
Hey!

I've had quite a long break now and wanted to start updating a few games that have already been on the App Store for quite a while. I upgraded to the latest Stencyl version and getting errors on every single game. Already tried to test a blank game, but I couldn't run any game either.
Also there is no possibility to test any game in the iOS simulator as the options are all greyed-out.

I guess the problem might be Xcode (which i've already updated).  The provisioning profile expired too, so I renewed it. But I'm still getting errors. I hope somebody can help, as I'm just getting into developing again.

The log is attached  :)

iPhone / iPad / Android / Impossible To Catch - A Free iOS Game
« on: June 01, 2014, 05:17:41 am »
I just released "Impossible To Catch" a couple of days ago and it has already been listed quite high in some countries with thousands of players now. :)

https://itunes.apple.com/app/impossible-to-catch/id873167465?mt=8&uo=4

Impossible To Catch is a game about catching a pen.
This sounds quite simple but it's a real challenge, so don't worry if you won't catch one at the beginning.

It would be awesome if you give it a try and rate it, if you like it. :D

Thanks for every kind of support :)
Have fun!

iPhone / iPad / Android / Tappy Cube (FREE iOS universal)
« on: March 23, 2014, 04:31:41 am »
I released Tappy Cube a couple of days ago and the first update with 3 hidden character designs and a few fixes just came out now.

Tappy Cube is a great little arcade game with a small cube called "Tappy".

http://appstore.com/tappycube

How it works:
Try to guide Tappy through as many moving stones as possible, while climbing up higher and higher.
Precision, timing, patience, thinking forward and so much more - in just One Touch.

It would be great if you would take a look at it and tell me what you like and what you would improve :)
And of course it would be awesome, if you would rate it, if you like it :D

Btw. the android version will come soon and just needs a few fixes  :)

Ask a Question / In app purchase vs lite & full version (appstore)
« on: January 31, 2014, 08:30:18 am »
Any experience what works best?
Just one free version combined with an in app purchase for the full version, or one full version and one lite version?
What about revenue and what about download numbers?

Also another question beside that.
I do just need to set up one single inapp purchase for all countries, right?
And what about testing purchases? Should I test it with sandbox accounts from other countries, or does it work for all countries, if it works for one?

Hope someone may help me :)

Resolved Questions / Description language (solved)
« on: January 27, 2014, 08:17:03 am »
I'm quite far with my first game and want to publish it in more then one country.
I wrote my description in German and English but how would this work when publishing?
When I actually publish my game, would I need to publish it 2 times (one with German description, only for Germany and one in English for the other countries)?

As it would make more sense to me if I can choose which description shows in which country, without uploading it more then one time.

Hope someone can help :)

Old Questions (from 1.x/2.x) / Safe InApp Items
« on: August 16, 2013, 11:32:33 am »
Hey there!

I'm working on my first project with Stencyl for about 7-8 months now and got quite far by learning everything by my self till now :) I got to say Stencyl is a great piece of software!
But now there's the first problem I can't solve on my own :(

I'm trying to build an ingame Store with the option to purchase Coins. With these coins it's possible to buy items in the Store.
I thought about building the Store with several Game Attributes but I don't think that this options is safe enough (there are many updates comming and also if someone may delete the game the purchased items should still be available).
So is there any safe way of keeping all purchased items even after deleting/updating/..?

Thanks to everyone for any kind of help!  :)
