After a journey of three thousand miles and four months of work, mainstream7 is proud to announce
The Initiative.
In December, 2013 my fiancé and I departed south Florida and arrived in California to start our dream/build our company. We had no idea what our first product was going to be, all we knew is that we wanted to inspire others; then we came across stencyl. We sat down and brought our skills together, hers was in graphic design and mine was in the film industry. Together we meshed story-telling and visuals to create our first game.
It's been an amazing/crazy four months with Stencyl. We learned, failed, cried (seriously), and ran around our apartment/office with joy. We mean it from our heart, THANK YOU to the community and creators of Stencyl for getting us through some tough learning curves. We could of never of done what we did without the software.
Our main desire is not to only have individuals play what we've been able to create, but more importantly be inspired by the game and story that it provokes. Below you will find information regarding the game, at the moment its optimized for iPhone 5 and up.
GAME DESCRIPTION:
Dodge your way through the world of The Initiative, where memorization is key in surviving this side-scrolling journey. Your name is Elliot Leone and you’re one of the last remaining hopes of light in finding the Waters of Life, an oasis of power that can free the world bound by a life-tracking point system called the XP Initiative. Will you choose to believe the truth in your heart or the reality of your circumstances?
Memorization gameplay and simple game controls make this a journey for everyone. Written over three years by award-winning actor, director, screenwriter, and newly-acquainted game designer, Nick DePalo

Hey everyone! Pretty pumped to be at the end of working on my game, The Initiative (See screenshot below) Thank YOU STENCYL COMMUNITY for all the help. I have one little fix I need to get done now. My issue is when I test the game on an iPhone 5 it works fine, but I just have to wait a while for it to load from the splash screen (Is there a way to make this load faster?) Now when I try testing it on an iPhone 4s or iPad it gets to the splash screen, then crashes. I've even created a new game just to see if the game would get past the splash screen to a simple screen with some font from the game. It worked on both the iPad and 4s, but the game itself when testing can't get past the splash screen. ANY help would be HUGE. Thank you.
