The Stencyl installer is run with elevated privileges so that it can install to Program Files. However, this also causes the application to be launched with the same elevated privileges.
User Interface Privilege Isolation prevents sending messages from lower integrity level processes to higher integrity level processes. This means that Stencyl should be run at an equal or lower level of integrity than Explorer in order for drag and drop to work.
This is fixed by modifying the Windows installer to launch Stencyl with normal privileges, starting with version 4.1.0.
