problem downloading and installing 4.0.0 dmg on MAC

When I download the dmg 4.0.0 version for Mac and try to install, it generates an error and doesn't mount the dmg.

The dmg has worked successfully for other people, so there shouldn't be an issue on our end.

Can you try walking through the steps in this guide?

I've had this issue too and "the guide provided" did not work .
So naturally i ask for help, but then i'm lead to this thread and i still don't know where to go?

Since it's been a while and we still haven't gotten anybody to follow through with is and help us pinpoint the issue (and because I suspect it's something that will vary on a case-by-case basis, and is a problem on end user machines and not our dmg distribution), we're just releasing Stencyl through a .zip as well as the .dmg.

Note that the .zip release won't work right away. Because it's downloaded from the internet, you'll need to move the "Stencyl.app" file out of the folder and back in again to remove the quarantine Apple places on it. Or run xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine Stencyl (with "Stencyl" being the extracted folder) in a terminal.
