Then, my restart, share, submit buttons don't work. I keep clicking on them. But they're not responding.

Are those buttons part of the game or part of the extension?

The extension's buttons aren't the best. I have to click on continue normally 2-3 times, before it closes the screen.

But, then the buttons on the screen that aren't part of the extension; Restart, Share, Submit wont respond when I click on them.

I had just implemented Chartboost's rewarded videos onto iOS. But, I'll give this a try and let you know how it goes.

Noob Question: Do you have to update the game, everytime AdColony updates their SDK? e.g. If AdColony updates their SDK. Would that cause problems viewing ads on games that have been released etc. ?

It seems to be working fine on Android.

Just been trying it on iOS. I've noticed that it doesn't show the pre or post messages for the rewarded video. It just shows the video. Then, the screen seems to stick. I have to click on the continue button 3-4 times.

Then, my restart, share, submit buttons don't work. I keep clicking on them. But they're not responding.

Right. I'm going to be using Chartboost rewarded ads on iOS and AdColony on Android - to compare results of the two.

For this. I know that I asked about using an event listener a couple of days ago and you said that I'd be better off with a boolean.

The way I've set it up is:

Logo screen: Start chartboost with App Details and Signature
Menu: Cache Reward Videos
Game screen (when game over screen appears): If "is rewarded video cached" = true. Create Actor (button).

Then, the button looks like the following. Again, I'm slightly confused as you said on the first page of this to include a remove event listener after using an event listener. But, you gave my above screenshot the all clear.

Obviously, I want to get this right first time - and so I'm being extra overly cautious. So, apologies if I'm coming across as annoying.

I just don't want to submit a game to iOS, wait 9-10 days. Find out that the ads aren't working, then wait another 9-10 till they get fixed.

I think that I need to mod that slightly, to fit mine. But I have a better idea, now.

After you've watched the video. Shouldn't you change the boolean to false? Otherwise, wouldn't it just stay as true and keep showing a button - even if AdColony isn't loaded?

Also, if I were to put the contents of your screenshot into an always create. What changes would I need to make to the AdColony block in my GameOver screenshot?

Load screenshot is the logo (loading) screen.

Gameover screenshot is on the main game screen.

The button events are on the button actor.

^ Right. I'm having a similar problem to what someone mentioned, in an earlier post.

But instead of clicking the "No" button. I just have a button that appears if advert is available.

If the user doesn't click on it, no other ads will load - unless you restart the app. (This is with active ads as well, not test ones)

I would have thought that you'd be looking at at least 1 cent+, per video.

As great as this idea is, to watch a video and get rewarded. Part of me feels like Interstitials every 4-5 goes, would maybe be a safer option (as there's less chance of them not showing - as there's so many of them available).

I don't think that test mode is a reliable reflection of the amount of ads you'd expect to see, in live mode.

If I could be guaranteed 20 ads per day. I wouldn't think twice about choosing AdColony.

But, I have a feeling that users won't get to see anywhere near as many...

But, I was using the test ads mode. So, I wasn't sure if that had a part to play with only showing one ad.

I've just taken it off test mode, just to see how often the button appears.

I'd be interested to know if the button will appear more often, if the load block is on the game screen. As I've put the block on the load screen, like you.

Just out of curiosity. When you're testing your app. How often do you see the rewarded video button appear?

I'm seeing it once, when I lose for the first time. But that's it.

I've lost about 10-15 times in a row, but the button didn't show again.

Is this normal? (It's still on the Test Ads setting)

On the AdColony website. There's something called a "V4VC Secret Key".

I don't think it's needed. I was having some problems, setting it up. But, it seems like it's sorted now.

Just to confirm. I've got the Load AdColony block, on my menu scene (before the game scene).

This is Ok, right? I don't have to keep loading it, on every scene refresh/replay?
