Everything is ready but the sounds and music. Not that the game is perfect, but I'm having fun with this dare, and have learned a few new things about stencyl. The code is.. well.. fastly made if put nicely. :)

BTW The dog is actually modeled after my own pharaoh dog Mino and she's a strange, but great dog.

Hi guys,

I took the idea very literally and came up with Bone Up. A funny little dog digging out bones in the backyard. Graphics are super pixelated, I might even call them Mega pixelated, if I was tired, which I am. I think I'll be able to finish is today, hooray!

I liked some of the themes, but did masterfully manage to break a bone in my right hand two days ago in bjj practice. Makes things a bit slow, but I'm going for it anyway. :)

I use photoshop quite often , but I most of the times I use an app called Let's 8 bit Art. It's on android at least.

For music it depends on what you want to do. If you want a full blown daw, there's Logic Audio, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, etc. One free, and a very good multitracker is Studio One. Each one of them is very good. If you want something simpler there's Caustic on android and many many good ones on the iPhone side.

Hello Sir! Could you open up this a bit? How would you use it in practice. I did the other parts, but this part confuses me, as I haven't ever done coding on Stencyl. I'm trying to change it so that the <but> would respond to a touch of the screen. So I would be able to touch through  a dialog..

Hi, I'm Miro. I've been using stencyl for prototyping purposes, but now I'm starting to work on a game made solely on it. I've studied arts and game design and have am a part of a small game company here in Finland. I do graphics, game play design and even code, when I have to. Kind of a multi purpose jack of all trades, I guess.

The thing I love about stencyl is that it frees me to do what I want to do, without having to rely on other people for the hard stuff. It also allows me to test mechanics out very quickly. Now that 3.0 is out, I'm really looking forward to opening unity less and less in my life. Go Stencyl!

Aah, that makes the difference then. I'm not on 10.8 yet, but I will be soon, since I really *do* like stencyl and had been waiting for the upgrade for some time now. It was like getting an electrified toy for christmas without having batteries and the shops are closed. Thank you for your efforts!

I got a test game to work (on os x) by making a games folder in the stencylworks folder. But, I can't compile, because stencyl doesn't want to create the swf file. I get this on the log:

[LOG] The file /Users/mir007/stencylworks/games-generated/Platformer/Export/flash/bin/Platformer.swf does not exist.

I'm having the same issue. It seems that Stencyl doesn't want to create a swf file in the Export/flash/bin directory. There's nothing there. Cleaning the project didn't help.

I also had no games folder, had to make it to try out any of the games. Right now I'm thinking if 3.0 is ready for primetime just yet, but let's see.
