A friend of mine was talking about how got a few apps rejected from the app store because he had a dual currency system that required micro-transactions, but his app did not support restore purchases.
He said to fix it, he had to set up a server that saved all the purchases made, and could return it to the user by the 'restore purchases' button.
Did someone else experience this? Do you think this is for consumable + non consumable purchases?

My mobile project has suddenly died.
I can play it on flash, but every time I try to run it on mobile(android device), the build fails.
- I have tried to clean my project, restart Stencyl, Tried to make sense of the logs, ..don't know what to do.
- The project ran perfectly the last time I ran it, all I have changed is added some more behaviours that use the drag and drop UI, and downloaded a very basic behaviour from the forge.

It seems to me like one the usual Stencyl mood swings to me that ruin work and motivation.
Could someone point me in the right direction?

- The webpage says Stencyl 3.4.0 is 'Final'.
- The release post has like 5 posts from a while ago.,50738.0.html
- The last update as per the download page happened 6 months ago.

But the engine still has a lot instability and issues in its core functioning.
Should I expect to see any improvements anytime soon, or this the end of Development work on Stencyl?

Hey guys.

So I am  a Game Designer by profession. You can see my profile here.

I am thinking on making a few small scale apps.
I do not have enough time on my hand to handle the development, so I am looking for a skillful Dev to take up the project as a programmer.
I am making a decision of the tool to use. Stencyl is one option I want to try because of my familiarity with the engine.
I would like some Stencyl experts to please tell me their hourly rates and availability, starting mid February when the development is likely to start.
If this works out, I will be paying upfront on an hourly basis. We can do bi weekly or weekly payments, however you like.
The apps will be pretty small, there aren't any investors. I tried making something in the past in collab, but since I had limited time to code, and there was money involved, it didn't work out. This time I will be paying from my side, and you get credits.

Someone has any idea on how to do such server intensive multiplayer games with Stencyl (Like, etc)? How much would it cost, if we have to purchase stuff(like servers or extensions) to make it work?

If someone has any knowledge in this domain (I can take care of most things stencyl, except server), I would love to have a word !

Did anyone get a chance to try the Chrome book?  If they run android games, making custom ChromeOS games (through Stencyl) could be a good way to get target an emerging market!

This is actually an old game, end 2015. I haven't been able to work on anything for the past few months..
I sold it to Y8, they were working with their developer on some API issue last time I checked. I wasn't aware they  published it!

There are some questionable design decisions and technical glitches that i am aware of.
Any kind of feedback welcome!
I have it working for Mobiles as well! I was thinking of finding a publisher, maybe if someone wants to make a deal, let me know :)

Do you guys think Nintendo will open the console for developers to make retro games on?

If so, would it be possible to use Stencyl for making retro games for this console ? 
(Wishful thinking here, I can't even see how it will work out )
I would sacrifice a unicorn to see some of my games playable on a nintendo :D

Hello everybody, let me quickly introduce myself.

I have been working in the game Industry for 5 years as a game designer.
I was a part of a startup that made Robokill series and Apocalypse Max. Then I joined EA,  and worked on top grossing games- Tetris Blitz and Tetris classic. Right now I am working with a leading studio in EU.

I use Stencyl to create smaller games to keep the gears running, but lately due to work I don't see enough free time to create games alone.
I can use some collaboration with another experienced developer/artist (s) to work on awesome things. I am open to pitching and discussing ideas.  Ping me here or on email me if you want to discuss further.

Paid Work / [PAID $100+] Y8 Highscore API implementation for a Web game

I got a sponsorship mail from Y8 for one of my games, but they are looking for API integration of their Y8 Highscore API. Does anyone have any experience with this, or can help me integrate it? I have absolutely no experience integrating custom API outside Stencyl..
I really want grab this deal, just need the API sorted. I can pay $100 for a way to get this implemented through an extension, custom code or behaviour, whatever is the way..

A game I had been working on is ready now, and I could use some feedback. The game is done for iOS, web and android. I want to use the android version for testing due to ease of accessibility.

Since Stencyl does not support analytics or data tracking of any kind, I would need you guys to manually help me. The things I need feedback on:
- The on-boarding/understanding of the game
- The initial difficulty and later difficulty
- Overall fun

Barrel Roll Ultra!
Join the apes as they fool plumbers into the myth of a great Kong!

Ludum Dare Post:

Controls: Arrow keys to Move and Jump
Down Arrow to throw Barrel!

Get to the vending machine to grab a barrel! Press down key to throw!
Aim it at the heads of the plumbers to stop them!

If you get hit thrice, you lose.
If the Plumbers manage to destroy the Kong statue, then also you lose.
Destroy all plumbers for the win!!!

Extension Ideas / Support for Mobile Achievements and Leader-boards ??

So the official Extensions page is frm 2013 and hasn't been updated in like a year. Many people who used to work back then on the extensions have now moved on, most extensions listed are obsolete.  I have tried downloading and trying all available extensions for basic things like a working joystick but failed to get something useful. I only get weekends for my projects so i want to utilise my time working on games and not struggling with the tools

Right now as we speak, supported starting with the current stable version of stencyl, is the any extension that lets me  have Live leaderboards for iOS and Android?

It is fine if there are separate tools for iOS and Android as long as they are effective.
