Suggestion Issue: Get and Set -> Alpha Value per pixel?

Hi!

I would like to be able to both set and get a pixel Alpha Value on an image, today not possible at all (as far as I know) with the image API,

Definitely a must-have for pixel operations.
I was just going to post this as a suggestion but it looks like I'm not the only one in need!
