Hi everyone,

This is an upcoming game we're working on. The game's inspired by classic games such as the Legend of Zelda and Metroidvania games such as Hollow Knight and Aquaria.

Knight of the Deep is an underwater action-adventure about a sword-wielding fish tasked with saving the ocean kingdom.

As a wandering fish, you find yourself inside an ocean maze full of predators. While you anxiously try to find your way back, you discover a mysterious sword. As you pick it up, you feel its power flow through your veins, filling you with courage that sends you venturing deeper into the abyss. There you find other helpless creatures in hiding. They speak of a dark oppression that looms, which threaten their once blossoming kingdom.

Hello Stencylers!

Our new game Swish Ball! has gone live today. It's a combination of basketball and pinball. Score as many buckets as you can, you have a 24 second shot clock for each basket and it resets as you score. The game also has a time mode.

Ask a Question / Moving position of object to direction of actor

I am working on  a game with joystick, to move the actor, while it faces the direction of its motion. Now, i want this actor to hold a ball, so when actorHasBall, the ball is attached to the top of the actor. My problem is, how can i make the ball also rotate around the actor to face the direction the actor is facing. Right now if the actor is facing 45 degrees. The ball is still stuck to top of actor.

Hello Stencylers!

Since the baseball world series is coming up and me being a baseball fan, I went on to make a baseball game. It's not actual baseball, but more like a home run derby arcade. The objective is to score as many home runs as you can (the difficulty is in the pitches, they come at different speed). You will be rewarded with a bronze, silver or gold trophy depending on your score. You can collect these in your trophy case, which will be used as the ranking system. As you progress you can unlock random teams and ballparks through the draft. The game uses simple one tap controls.

Ask a Question / Game crashes as soon as i open it [Fixed]

My game has been porting normally and i can run it without any problem. but today i went to do a clean project and after i ported it to my iphone, it crashes as soon as i run it. i went to check my logs and this is what i see. i dont know what it means..?

Ask a Question / Sounds mute when game is interrupted

I realised that when the game gets interrupted on mobile (for example, when you get a call) it mutes the game audio. I tried setting the volume to 100% when the game gains focus, but still no sound. I would have to restart the whole game for the sound to work again.. Does anyone know how to solve this or experienced this?

Hi! i am facing some issues with app scaling... I'm currently using Scale to Fit (fill) and this is working well on the iPhones (4,5,6,6+), but when i run the game on iPad it shows the game in letterbox.  I tried running the game on Scale to Fit (letterbox) on the iPad and it scales the game as it would on the iPhones as (fill).... ? its doing exactly the opposite on iPad than it does on iPhones

The game is in landscape mode and im using the latest stencyl version

Im working on an 8 bit game. all graphics are no smoothing.. however, on iphone 4, 5 the graphics are good, but when it has to scale for iphone 6, the sprites have these weird grey lines around it, its really noticeable and ugly. why is it? and is there anyway of making it go away?

When write characters like É,  Á or any letter with an accent, it shows up as unicode numbers in the alert box on the device...I tried writting the unicode instead but it didnt work...
Is there any way to resolve this?

How can I detect when my app is sent to background on iOS? for example if you send your game to the background by accident while playing, it will trigger a code to pause the game, and when you open the game back it's paused.
