Resolved Questions / How to export tilesets easily? [RESOLVED]
« on: January 23, 2013, 12:21:59 pm »
Me and my friend are making a game on separate computers. I have a Windows computer and he has a Mac. Our problem right now is how to find a way to easily export the tilesets my friend made from his computer to mine. Is there an easier way other than saving each file individually with Pencyl? P.S. My friend is not very computer-literate, so if the instructions are too complicated, he might get lost. Simple instructions, please, and thanks in advance!

Hello.Adventures of BP is a very good platform game about a black pixel.I am going to add new stuff in some days.In the demo you can play only 5 levels, but the full game will have(at least)50.This game is my first game.Every Monday i will put new updates.
Don't call him BP. Call him Bpixel. It sounds better.

Game Art / Re: Looking for a free and EASY music maker. Suggestions?

Hm, a little complicated, but better than my other options. Thanks!

I have tried and failed to find a very nice music maker.
I tried MAGIX, but I got lost in its interface.
I also tried online music makers, but those suck.
The closest one I ever got to liking was PXTone, because I liked how you can import any sound and play it at any pitch like a sampler, but the pitch and note making interface wasn't good.
Is there any music maker out there that contains the following?
-sampler function (like PXTone)
-ability to record a song by playing notes from keyboard
-free and simple interface
Thanks!

I see what's going on. I import a photo and a 2x copy is created. What if I am importing a 2x photo and I want Stencyl to recognize it as a 2x photo so it can create a 1x copy rather than a 2x one?

So anything I will import into Stencyl when designing an iOS game will be halved?
EDIT: For example, if I import a 50px by 50px actor, will it show up in the web version, Stencyl, and iOS version of the game as 25px by 25px?

I am trying to make a game that runs on both computer and iOS, but when I import frames for an actor, there's a little message on the bottom that says:
Import an image at 2x resolution (for Retina Display.)
What does this mean? I don't want to get this wrong. Thanks.

After taking up dtrungle's advice of using ideas from another flash game, I have decided to implement something like Time Fcuk in which you switch between two worlds. However, I would like to thank everyone else for THEIR suggestions! ^_^

That's a little more art-based than code-based.

At least 3.0 won't be as horribly delayed as Polytron's FEZ...

Me and my friend are ready to make some games, but I want to get the hang of the coding interface first by making my own simple shooter. However, I want to add something creative to it to challenge my amateur-ability to code. Can anyone challenge me with some crazy idea that is NOT already available as a behavior on StencylForge? I'm feeling confident.  8)
