Im exclusively a Linux user. So Flash was out of the question for me. Hunted down alternatives via Google and it pulled up Scratch. And when I tried looking for alternatives to Scratch(due to it seeming very lacking on features*). Stencyl came up. Read up on it. Looked over a few YTube vids. And the fact that it is Java based and could be ran on my Linux machine w/o any issues had me sold!

Greetings! Mike Poole here.

Cant say Im new to game development. been over a team for a few years now. I took up an interest to Stencyl because i always wanted to try my hand at some form of coding. But I always failed hard with the c++ or C# learning kits that were out there. They just never held my interest much. Stencyl seems to be doing what they couldn't. So, I decided i'd try to use it for a few simple ideas.

Getting a bit stumped on crash course 2. But Im holding in there. Which is a VERY good sign! So maybe I'll have something worth showing thats of my own. Not too far down the road.
