I like to play games first, and then read about it.  I really felt this was designed for mobile in mind and to me seemed like a nice variant on the mobile game pudding monsters.

Im not too much of a puzzle guy so I cant really speak much about the design/puzzle aspects... but I did like getting the sword and having to get the sword again after dying.

I liked it.

Its really good for your first post/stencyl project however, I think the biggest issues are:

*Player jumps too high
*First 10 seconds of the game is too hard
*The Malware has no 'hint' as to what it is going to drop on the player.  Is it a bomb? is it a timer?

Really needs an easy way to get rid of the timers, without waiting around for bombs.  Even when you do get lucky and get a timer to land on another timer, it stays there forever.  That can really ruin a players day if you get lucky and get a few timers to spawn instead of bombs.

I do like the player moving fast tho, its refreshing.

Really great game.  Its everything you would expect to see in a mobile top seller category for 'infinite fallers' (except Ads + IAP)

Bug:  I found that if your character collides against the wooden platform (platform going left) and your character (going right) your character will get stuck there until you let go or the log changes direction.  Has happened at least 3 times so far.

Really well done.  Totally hit the mark on retro + gameboy gameplay + style.

One little nitpicking thing I found is sometimes when you push blocks against a wall, your character can get stuck (when walking over them).  Only by jumping over it or getting more momentum can you overcome it.  attached in the image is a spot i found.

I tried to download this through google play on my phone but I only found useless results.  See attached picture.

Finally found it with "havingaball"  :o

Suggestion:  Better clarification on Unlocked and Locked stages...  maybe remove the unlock icon from the unlocked stages as at least on phone resolutions, its very difficult to tell the difference between locked and unlocked.

Awesome, thanks VikingPotato and The8BitMan!!!!

Attached is the working behavior incase others are stuck

I would highly recommend looking at Luyrens RPG behaviors in StencylForge.  It has stuff you have already done and want to do included.

I hope you do release it, it seems there is a big demand for an RPG creator on these forums.

Multiplayer -- does not exist at the moment for 3.x (There is a 2.x version here someplace on the forums available).  There are some talks in 3.0 forums about using as a viable method for turn based multiplayer, however it has yet to yield any fruit.

Your going to need to learn how to use lists.  start here:

use a scene behavior and something like this below should get you started in the right direction

if control key Enter is pressed

If Inventory Open Boolean = False
Set Inventory Open Boolean to True
  reference inventory list
Set Inventory Open Boolean to False

For non subscribers, it seems to work fine on 2.x but not 3.x.  There is an issue saving game attributes.  Due to that roadblock it's delaying the release.

They are using java to code the extension. Seems not many people have traveled down the extension path and fewer are using java to do it.

That thread has no updates for 30 days.

Hopefully they found a work around!

Ask a Question / Re: Error i can't Fix
« on: October 14, 2013, 05:36:27 pm »
you are referencing something that does not exist, at the time of its execution.

Lets use the code below as an example:

When Updated: (Always)
Create Actor 35

When Created:
Move Actor 35

This would error out because you are asking to move the actor before its created in the scene.

Ask a Question / Help with Actors and Lists
« on: October 14, 2013, 03:31:25 pm »

My goal is to add all on screen actors of a group to a list.  Then find a way to reference specific actors within that list:

Example list:
Line 0 = Actor 13
Line 1 = Actor 3
Line 2 = Actor 75

I want to set actor test to the information I pulled from Line 0 in the list.  I cannot find any blocks to do so?  Any suggestions with custom code as an alternate solution?
