Shared Resources / Selling: 5 songs for you game!
« on: August 16, 2011, 07:23:20 am »
I have 5 original songs here for sale. They were for a game project of mine which I cancelled around a year ago.

They were for a cave delving game I was working on, but that got cancelled when exams, family, etc. got in the way, and took all of my available time away from me.

Want to preview a track? click here - Track no.04

All 5 tracks will cost £5 - a small price to pay considering the quality of the songs :)

If you want to purchase a copy of these to use in your game, ROYALTY FREE, then contact me via email @ mikesgamespro@gmail.com

'Sup all, I am Mikaldinho, but you can call me Mike.

My real name is Michael Brockwell. I am 15 years old, go to a games development college in Norwich, UK and my ambition is to become a game artist when I am older. I am in charge of a small team of 3 people, me,my brother and our best mate, and we all share the same passion - game development.

There isn't much more to me other than that... I also american football (chicago Bears fan), Pringles and Jaffa Cakes :)

I purchased 2 copies of the bundle; one for me (£10 well spent, i must say!), and one for my team-mate ( another £10 to charity!)!

The Humble Indie Bundle is a great idea. Maybe we should try and get a Stencyl game in HIB4??? ;)

Game Art / Re: help with Pixel art!
« on: August 07, 2011, 11:45:59 pm »
Welcome to stencyl.

Following is a thread on tools for creating some of the arts. I'll let others chime in on the pixel art tutorials.

http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,2233.msg15473.html#msg15473

Any reasons you can share with us from moving 3D to 2D arts?

By understanding 2D, 3D will also improve (textures, concept art, etc. All 2D.)

And thanks for the link, now checking it out.

Game Art / help with Pixel art!
« on: August 07, 2011, 07:58:06 am »
So, I would like to begin working with stencyl full time. I used to work with Unity3D for about 2 years, working mainly as a 3D artist. I have plans for a 2D game, but I have next to no knowledge when it comes to pixel art. Programming is no problem for me, so I do not need to worry about that.

If anyone can point me in the right direction of pixel art tuts for beginners, that would be a great help!

What I shall also do, is use this topic as my pixel-art hub, in which I will post all of my pixel art I am prepared to share with you guys (some will be too bad, others will be private, and for my game). So you will be able to track my progress as I learn pixel art...

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies to this topic constructively,

-Mikaldinho
