Hi all,

I’m not sure if it’s because of the current situation in the world, (I’m not sure how that would have an affect) but from submitting my app to it being ready for sale on the App Store today took only 2 hours. I haven’t uploaded an app in 4 years, back then it could take around 5 days. Has anyone also experienced this? Is this normally how fast they do it now?

Hi all,

I haven’t been active on here in 4 years. I released a couple of games on the App Store around 4-5 years ago one being called Gloopy which ended up doing quite well at the time in a few different countries.
I then released a point and click adventure game called The Silence which took around 6 months to complete, unfortunately due to a lack of experience on release it crashed for most people on startup and by the time I’d fixed it was too late with the bad reviews etc, so I took a game developing hiatus, and then life took over.

Anyway enough of the long back story. I decided Gloopy could of been so much better and I still like the concept, so I’ve started development on a game using similar mechanics but with much improved graphics, sound and animations called Gooky.
All artwork/game mechanics are completed and I’m now on level 5, I hope to have around 100 levels initially, I’ll average around 4-5 levels a day minimum, so it should be ready for the App Store in around a month.

Thanks for you comments! Hopefully I should have a playable demo within the next couple of weeks.

Currently adding lots of features such as a simple game that is playable through the phone as well as an intro where you are chilling in your room listening to some heavy guitar music, texting your mum when suddenly the power cuts which starts the game.

Its going to take a lot of balancing tweaks to get the difficulty just right, such as how often the entity appears/jumpscares you etc. Though its not purely about jumpscares, the game is based more around what you can't see but can hear.

Ive never been a huge fan of having photo materials in a game, if not done correctly it can look quite amateurish, but thats just my opinion I guess. It won't be like a hidden objects style game but there will be little differences in the rooms each time you visit -doors open, items moved around, radio/TV randomly coming on etc.

I'll also upload a better gameplay video soon hopefully that shows more gameplay than just walking around the rooms.

Hi all,

This is my first game in a while, over a year in fact. It's still in development and there's a lot of work to do before its ready for release on iOS & Android.

In short the game is set through an old cell phone at night. You are a 17 year old girl who's just moved into a new apartment with her mum. Your mum has gone out for the night and that's when strange things start to happen.

The goal of the game is to try and survive until morning when your mum returns home, the later it gets the more active whatever is in the house becomes.

Im always looking for inspiration or extra ideas so welcome to any suggestions for gameplay elements to add, possibly also inspired by ghost/horror movies.

Hi all,

I am nearing completion of my new game Celebrity Rooms for iOS and need testers to check for bugs, suggestions, enjoyability and feedback. If your interested in helping out then all I need is your email and I can send you an invite for Testflight.

Each level you have to guess using the clues in the scene which celebrity or fictional character that room belongs to, you earn coins for each level passed which you can then use to remove words/add letters etc.

Hi, this is my new game Exonus now available on Google Play and soon to be available on iOS.

This is my fourth app released within the last few months or so, and even though each game has been a great learning process I will be taking a deserved break for a while after this release.

Thats the weird thing it is happening on on all different devices and iOS versions. I have instead jut uploaded an update for review, instead of loading all the atlases at once it loads them gradually as you progress, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this might stop the crashes.

Just a bit annoying having to wait 5 days+ for it to be approved as my negative reviews on iTunes are slowly building up.
I am finding that people who are enjoying the game are not bothering to leave a positive review, whereas people who are having the crash happen are so frustrated they immediately leave a 1 star review and rightly so. So lots of 1 stars at the moment.

It actually seems to be working absolutely fine on Google Play. Its just happening on iOS but I haven't been able to replicate the crash that a lot of people are starting to complain about. I have even tried buying the game myself though different devices but it never crashes for me, very strange!

Creating an adventure game is extremely fun but I think I now realise why more people don't release them, the logistics, coding etc involved is insane and just when you fix one bug another one appears somewhere else! so there was a lot of hair pulling involved in the creating of this but well worth it in the end.

Just can't believe that it is now crashing for a few people at the beginning, I've tested on so many devices and it has never done that for me. Oh well let the hair pulling commence again!

Well I have just release it on iOS 2 days ago and have been quiet lucky as the game is featured in best new adventure games in 121 countries and is currently in the top 150 in 5 countries and rising (adventure/puzzle categories) including the US which is cool. So will be interesting to see how it does over the next week or so.

Small worry is that a it works fine for the majority of people but a few have said it crashes at the menu screen so I am currently trying to figure out what the issue is, maybe loading all Atlases as once.
