I live in CA.  I've never heard of 5 Guys or Shake Shack.  We've got a few In-N-Outs but they're spread out. I've been there a total of one time.  It just tasted like fast food that was a bit more non-fast foody tasting.

I totally agree...  games that have Devs that just listen to the fans like all the time are just in my experience never that great of games.

I bought it.  I think the general gameplay is superior to minecraft.  The creation options...  I'll have to wait an see.  Though I don't think you'll ever see anything as impressive as minecraft simply because it's 2D.  No giant to scale Enterprise or anything like that.  However you can still have some fun with it.

The amount of content is a bit small but like minecraft it'll see constant updates.  Hopefully soon they'll put in some admin tools and stuff to help make creation not so tedious (like infinite blocks in admin tools which basically all the good minecraft creators use).  If they support modding we'll only see content come faster.

This is the ONLY game of this type I've been willing to spend money on.  Most Indie games, even though I've helped make a few, really do just suck.  lol at least if they cost $10 or more.  This one is just very good though.

I'd give it an 9/10.  Replay value is big if you're into creation and stuff (and will be bigger with updates).  Multiplayer is fun.  Content is a bit low but you'll still get dozens of hours out of it if you like this kind of stuff and content will only go up (and if you love the creation you'll spend even more time with it).
It was released earlier than they planned to try to get support for it and since it was like the 6th most played game on Steam the day it came out I'm sure they got a bunch of $$$ support to keep it going for a long time.

Anyways, if you don't buy it today I'd highly suggest buying it somewhere down the road.  I could see giving it like a 9.5/10 when it gets enough new content.

I'll probably buy this.  In short it's a 2d Minecraft inspired game.  I would have loved to do their spriting :P.
I'm sure tons of people thought of this idea after playing Minecraft.  I thought of it, they actually made it.  Too late for me!

I'd love to do something at that level XP.

Just saw this on CNN.  Took us long enough.

Part of me wants to celebrate but another part won't let me.  Even though the d00d was evil I don't think killing should ever be celebrated even when necessary (at least for me personally, I won't hold it against people who do celebrate).

The vitality sensor, besides being a dumb idea, also has the technical hurdle of it only working for 90% of people that they've been unable to surpass yet.

I want the Pokemon MMO that will absolutely never come.  :(

Game Ideas / Re: Leveling up in RPGs

I think it's only an issue when you become under or over leveled.  But honestly I still very much enjoy tons of games with leveling so I have no issue with it.  From Pokemon to whatever...  I have absolutely no problem with leveling.  I have big problems with random and too frequent battles though.

Benefits are that it gives a constant sense of advancement.  With most games you get access to new stuff through leveling which is just more nifty gifties.  Heck, in MMOs I usually like the leveling the best because by the time you're done there's no much story left and most MMOs don't have much end game.

I don't think the general crowds will get sick of leveling in a long time. Sure, it can be done poorly in games but I don't play poorly done games.  :P

Game Ideas / Re: Trying to think up a new game.

I can't even get my REM World to load anymore after one of these updates.  There was a bit of work into it but the thing bugs out on like four behaviors and I have no idea how to fix 'em.
Does the Run and Jump kit not work anymore?  I even tried with a new game and it still won't work.

Anyways I'll probably think up a game...  then maybe make a design document for it and a few example graphics.  Then beg for coders.  :P
Still not sure about going back to REM World...

I've got my old idea but it was really on a whim in response to that old Dream contest that has long since past.  I've got a few offers from people interested but I'm not sure I'm interested.

I've got a few more ideas but they're far too complex, basically full games and would be somewhat unrealistic.

Then I have a few more simple ideas but I'm not in love with 'em.

I'm hitting a dry spell of good ideas.  Inspire me.   ;)
I want to make a game.  My brain is a no go currently.

3DS FC is still horrible.

You can't communicate with people you haven't shared FCs with.  It's difficult to impossible to befriend random people you meet online because you can't talk to them and will usually never see them again.  There's no history of who you've fought and no place to add recent players to a friend's list.  Your friend list can only be like 100 people long.  It's better than it was but still bad.

If Nintendo is going after the core gamers again I don't see how they'll be successful if they keep the Friend Code thing going.  The Online is so ridiculously limiting in Nintendo consoles.

I'm looking forward too it.  However if the controller does have a 6 inch high def screen and all Wii features buffed past anything anyone else has (better than Move and stuff)...  how much is the controller going to cost?  And will there be two separate controllers?  I mean supposedly there's a traditional one with a screen but that doesn't handle itself well with movement like a Wiimote.

It's all rumor though...
