Old Questions (from 1.x/2.x) / Re: Remote Builder Status
« on: December 02, 2013, 11:31:25 pm »
No, the remote building service is being shut down, and being a subscriber won't change that.  You must use a Mac to publish to iOS.

Ok, got it, we'll use Mac. But what are the options to test the app on a device before submitting it to the App Store? Do we need to do ALL the procedures on Mac with Stencyl 3.0, or just the publishing to App Store?

What do you mean by this?

I mean if I can count on assistance for any Stencyl-related processes 24/7?

Mobile doesn't use pre-game ads.  iAds are the built-in option for iOS and Admob is the built-in option for Android.  There are developer-made extensions for other ads such as Chartboost and Revmob.

So the third-party ad networks integration are made just with their SDK implementation in the project?

Please respond to questions above. I'd really appreciate it cause it's very important for me to know before purchasing Stencyl 3.0.

I've communicated this multiple times to customers, but I'd like to make clear to prospective customers that our remote building service will be discontinued by the end of the year in tandem with Stencyl 2.x reaching end of life status.

So after buying any of the paid packages (like Mobile for $150 and Studio $200), there will be no any problem with remote building and publishing to iOS/Android from PC?

Does discount applicable only for students or there are some other plans? I only see the following packages for sale - ?

Stencyl 3.0 is only available for beta, isn't it? Do paying customers have full Stencyl support?

P.S. Do Pre-Game ads in Studio package features mean that we can put ads in our iOS and Android apps as well?

Yes, we never got an email about it.

So we need to go Pro to get early access to Stencyl 3.0 (as we can only download 2.1.0 and update to 2.2.0 afterwards)? Even test builds with Ad Hoc are available only in 3.0, is that correct?

Hi there,

While trying to build the test app with Ad hoc profile, we're keep getting this error via mail after uploading the app to Stencyl (v2.2.0):

Check the attached text file for details. If the game built, verify that you provided a valid .p12 certificate, provisioning profile and Bundle ID.

There is also output.txt file attached to the email, but it's totally empty.

We've verified several times all the provisioning profile names and certificates, everything is properly generated and named. In the Stencyl settings .p12 certificate is uploaded and all the required fields are properly filled in the app settings.

Any ideas what may cause this issue?
