I tried this again, I checked that I had the latest flash player, and every tile has been replaced with the red square.

I just ran through the crash course. I followed the instructions exactly, but when I clicked "test game", it loaded, but Mambo and the tiles were missing, there was a small red square in the corner, and the three Prongers I had placed appeared to be floating. When I went back into the scene editor to see what might have gone wrong, I deleted Mambo from the scene, but could not replace him/she/it.

Ah, I see.  8)

The only file in C/program files x86/stencylworks0.9.0/logs is the .DS_store file. Is this not the right directory?

Am I even looking for the right thing?  ???

Give us log. It should be in your stencyl directory/logs with name connected to day and hour when log was created.

There is a file in my logs folder that says ".DS_store". Is this what you want?

Thanks for the fast response by the way.  :)

Hey guys,

I just opened up Stencylworks for the first time (on my new computer, that is  8) ) and I tried to create a new game...

When I set the name, screen size, etc., I clicked the create button, the window vanished, and a little box entitled "saving" took its place.

It has been 12 minutes, and the spinning preloader is still going. Nothing is happening.

I use Windows 7 if you must know. Thanks!  :D

I just noticed my title says "novice stencyler" xD I'm am a veteran from scratch.mit.edu, but I'm apparently a novice here because I can't create a new game? xD
