I have recently moved to Stencyl 3.0 and now I noticed that when I created animation frame which is 32x32 it will be seen in game as 16x16 and it's collision will be 16x16. Is that normal? Can I change it somehow? (I used x1 Scaling in my game's settings)

But when I add new frame to tileset, when I create 32x32 it will appear as 64x64.

I use Paint.Net as my graphics tool. I don't import graphics - usually I click "new frame", draw and save it.

Set [Y of Actor A] to [Y of Actor B +100]?

Hey guys!
We are very happy about our 2nd place in StencylJam. Thanks for votes, good words and for playing the game.
We will soon start our new project in Stencyl 3 - this time it will be standalone and much bigger game about SF sociaties.
Hope you will like it : )

I'd love for this to get included in our Arcade - could you publish it here too?

Hey Jon, I have tried to submit it but Koan is over 16 MB. Is there any way to submit it on Stencyl Arcade?

We just realized there is a Stencyl Jam (great coincidence, indeed the world want to help us a bit), so that's the nice opportunity to show our game! : ) We are already on Newgrounds' popular games list and hope you will find our game enterteining too : )))

A kōan /ˈkoʊ.ɑːn/ is a story, dialogue, question, or statement, which is used in Zen-practice to provoke the "great doubt", and test a student's progress in meditation.
The game is a puzzle platformer telling the story of a typical city dweller on his way to enlightenment. The Protagonist follows the tutelage of a mysterious Zen teacher who sends the him on perilous journeys through metaphorical landscapes and the depths of his subconsciousness.

Ok. It is unabled at the default. I accidentaly switched it to enabled. So problem is pretty much solved. Maybe anyone know how to make customized menu when focus is lost?

Ok. The flixel hotkeys work but block "disable pause on losing focus" don't - losing focus still display standard flixel menu. Do you know how to replace it with my own event (i want to trigger custom pause) or maybe just remove it?

Yeah, use block "send Actor to front". From this moment every other actors should be seen behind that one. Default background is always visible behind actors and tiles.

I found some info about regular windows cursor without flixel cursor, but example of code vanished in this topic:,4967.0.html

I want to replace flixel losing focus menu by my custom one or to remove it. For some reasons my flixel hotkeys (p for pause, 0 for mute) have never worked. Also situation is the same when i try to use disable losing focus or disable flixel hotkeys blocks.

I think that this old picture of blocks vanished. Can you paste it again? I need that block.

Also - is there an option to replace or turn off flixel's losing focus menu? I tried to do it by the "disable pause on losing focus" and "disable default flixel hotkeys" blocks but it doesn't work. (btw i think those default flixel hotkeys - p for pause, 0 for mute etc. - don't work too).

Recently I tried to make my game smaller and change PNG format for JPG (especially for the big background objects). I have read in the Stencyl FAQ "Any raster format will do - PNG, JPG, and GIF. We even support animated GIF's. We don't support vector art to a satisfactory degree. It will import, but it will be converted to raster form." - but when I try to import my JPG it becomes PNG. When I tried to change it in Stencylworks folder the game didn't start at all. Is there any way to do that correctly? Or maybe is there any other way to compress background graphics?

Make your protagonist always active, otherwise he can't make your camera follow him, if he's not on the screen.
