or instead you can create it invisible and after set the opacity and make it visible. i still think that your request is valid, but is easier than move the actor and the other workarounds.

how can i take current index with actor.parent.getChildIndex(actor) and store in a var to use with actor.parent.setChildIndex(actor, var);
im trying to do this but im geting the error "foat should be int"

what you mean by a convincing solution? are you still willing to put that feature as a block?

i think you could put this block under scene/view/effects

and could be just like the turn actor block "turn [cw/ccw] scene by [field] degrees"

i dont know if rotate the scene around something beyond the center of the scene is required. but if that is the case maybe a "turn around [actor]" block can do the trick, you can place this block and the scene will use the actor as a pinpoint. If you not use the block it will rotate around its center.

i have a lot of ideas on how to use this, but i just dont know how to use code directly... will be great if you implement that, but i know that there's a lot of work on other areas.

pressed or release already exists as events in "add event/input" if you choose keyboard. and if you go to controls in the game settings you can choose any key to be a control and give it a name. then under user input you can find the blocks to detect if the key was pressed, released or held(is down).

well 3.0 of stencyl are coming, and will be great. just choose to do a universal app and provide the graphics and everything will be handle by the engine, is best than any competitor that i have already use for sure.

Completed / using reserved words??

for my game to run i started to delete every behavior and test my game till it compiles. so i discovered that some custom event with "when (mute) happens" was impeding my game to compile. i don't know  if this is a reserved word, but when i created a "when (switch) happens" event it doesn't compile either. One suggestion that i have for the future is that if we use a reserved word the errored sign appears on the block with a tip so we can change things.
