How I began and would recommend is to start by modifying one of the existing games that come with stencyl. 

There is a run and gun shooter game just right click on it, duplicate it and name it your project,
then download a melee hit behavior and switch it with the shooting behavior and basically slowly change it to your game like that.

This is how i became proficient in stencyl. and yes your game does seem very doable, though know, keep your scope small, so you don't outgrow what stencyl can do in this project.

For the moving background I would look up a flappy bird stencyl tutorial. I am sure there are tons of them.

I have the same response other people have. My exact words to friend when opening this game.

"I'm glad its pushing people to develop, but everyone in their mother is making a flappy birds clone."

When I actually opened your game I was surprised. I like the different take on it. I could not get past a few seconds though. Is there a strategy to the game, or is it more random whether you die or not with all those fireballs coming at you?

Also could you play may game too, thanks?

At least to me the mechanics are unique. I see this being played the same way snake is played. On the phone and as a way to kill time.

Mechanically, I don't think you need to add much more to it.

Maybe make it harder (the enemies move faster) or have the enemies move faster for each yellow gem you get. I can see it becoming quite addictive that way.

Beat the demo. I'm like it so far. Loving his run animation, backgrounds and music.

Things that you could add:
-Better art for those extra tiles
-some extra things to help frame that Mike is crazy, maybe a laugh every once in a while or -something like that.
-Extra backgrounds animations...because it can only help.

-I an unable to judge the game play accurately because I'm using a lot of the same mechanics for my game....

the animations are clean and the graphics are above the norm.
The game can't be played with addblock on.
I played until the first time that I died. I was kind of astounded by the number of upgrades. How long did you work on the game?

Is your character spawner set to spawn when the level is created or while the level is uploading?

Mech Assassins is a small 2D action platformer that follows Muinda, a revolutionary soldier who infiltrates a chief financial building to neutralize the terrorist threat Mecha-Congo, the world’s last remaining super power. Muinda must sneak into the tower, avoid the better than human Congo Mech Guards, rescue the leader of her squad, and escape alive.

We will release the game to FGL and other avenues where we can find a publisher or sponsor.
