Where did you hear that? Im googling it and cant find any official way of getting OSX on PC....... Hackintosh is an option, but not really a viable option for any serious dev.

Hey all, so in the game iv been wokring on Stunt Plane, i have the obstacle rotating around a point and sliding up and down at the same time, at leat it appears so, whats actually happening is a pipe with 65 different animations (because each needs its own collision box) is rotating around the centre. This is making the game virtually unplayable, definately unplayable past a score of 4 or 5 so i need to find a way of making the pipe go up and down with code rather than animations, but in a way that will not affect the rotation. Any help here is greatly appreciated, iv been putting off trying to fix this as i keep sidetracking myself with other games etc, but really want to just get this one finished so i can look at it, smile, and move on :)

Game Art / Looking for someone to create a character for me

Hey there :)


Im starting to work on a platform game, and have found the most awesome little dude, not a character sprite (see below) but now really want him re-created for use as the main player of the game. I will need an idle left and idle right and  jump left and jump right (these dont need to be animated) and walk left and right (animated). Im hoping to use the jump left and right as wall slide anims as well. My budget is very small, preferably nothing as like most of us, im just me doing this on my own. I will give full attribution, in a central top and large place on the credits page, and we can arrange revenue share should i get it on FGL or NG. Ah damn, still cant get it to work, screenie below of what i tried,  i checked and the walking left right and idle left right (iv started with the basic behaviours) and they all are inside if OnGround? = True so no idea why its not working now :(

Ah but you see my player can fly, so when in the air i have a flying animation (the flying iv done via falling) so i cant do that, else i would be flying around with the ladning animation wouldnt i ? :$ Or am i misunderstanding?


This is how iv tried to do it, but it doesnt work for me, it instantly changes to the normal walking animations as i hit the floor

Iv tried messing around with the On ground behaviour, to see if i could add a 2s delay before realising your on the floor, because if i can get that to work, then after the 2 seconds  of being grounded il be able to play the landing animation, then i want it to continue detecting anims as normal, i.e walking left or right

Hey :)

So basically what im trying to get to happen is detect when my player lands on the ground, play an explosion animation, then return to normal, Im really struggling to find a way to make this work, everything i try seems to just be ignored, it always just goes to the normal on ground animation every time, without playing the 0.3s landing anim.

After this works i will also be wanting the player to play the landing animation when he presses jump, but il focus on one bit for now :p

As always, any help is much appreciated :)

In stencyl click publish, Web, Flash and it will output a .swf, thats the one you need to upload to NG :)

Hey :)

So in the game im working on currently, i want an actor to spawn every 3 seconds, but in one of 7 places, whats the easiest way to go about this?

 i was thinking maybe i make a list of events (spawn in spot 1, spawn in spot 2, spawn in spot 3 etc)  , name them 1 - 7, then  randomly select a number between 1 - 7 and trigger that event?



Any help is hugely appreciated :)

Sort of, thanks , it re-affirms a problem im having.

You see i make a new project, 1136 pixels wide by 640 pixels high, and it comes out like this below, which is WAYYYY bigger than an iphone screen, can anyone tell me why this happens please?

What size should the game be for iPhone 5/5c landscape?

Iv come up with a new game idea and want to start building it a.s.a.p but i always seem to make odd sized games, and seeing as im planning *crosses fingers* to go studio soon and start publishing the games, i want to start making them the right size :)
