Hello,

I am curious as to your facebook promotion in Argentina.. did you pay for ads on Facebook ?
Can you share further information, like how much did it cost, how much downloads do you think this generated.. and of course I presume you make money from ads so really do you have a true money spent vs money earned on this promotion ?

I'm very sorry, I forgot to reply to your post!!

We paid for ads on Facebook, promoting posts individually. We spent about u$s 50 total, getting about 100 likes on our page. Unfortunately I couldn't say how many downloads it generated, but I can tell you that we got 12.000 downloads in the first 10 days, just on iOS! Plus about 1500 on Android. :)

Our ads are non-invasive, we mainly included them as a test, so we're not making a lot of money out of them. We made about u$s 100 total, till now.

This was our first Stencyl experiment, so we weren't focused on making a lot of money really...we'll see how our next game goes! :)

According to App Annie your App has been in Argentina's top 5 overall apps for about a week.  That's especially strange when I see that in every other country the app is under 1,000.  It's basically the Flappy Bird of Argentina (although it does seem to be dropping now)  :P

Yeah, it's because we promoted it on Facebook, but only in Argentina (as a test). We will start promoting it in the USA next week, while launching an update that adds in-app purchases.

We're now at 8.800 downloads, out of which approximately 6.800 were in Argentina, and only 1200 in the USA :P

We're getting about 500 downloads a day, so yeah, it's slowing down...I hope we can reverse it :)

Have you found, through testing, that the app runs on both iOS and Android the same without changing anything?

The only thing I changed were the ads blocks, as I'm using Admob on Android, and iAd + Admob on iOS.

We pushed 2 updates, the last one (yesterday) prevents the game from crashing on a couple of devices (Samsung and LG, mainly).

Hi, everyone!

I'm very, very proud to present to you our first app, made from scratch in Stencyl in 2 weeks :)

It's an addictive (with just the right amount of frustration) game involving a ball (you) and some evil lines who just want to prevent you from reaching the top of the screen.

It may sound simple, but gets harder as you go  ;)

Feedback would be great as we couldn't really test it on more than 4 Android devices!

Thank you all for your help in these community! It's been really helpful when dealing with bugs and unexpected behaviors.

It's already live on Google Play, and we're waiting for it to be approved on the App Store.

I hope you like it  :D
