Hello everybody,

I made my first mini game, using the Invaders tutorial. Now i am trying to start making another one, and this time i want to make the graphics by myself.
I used the drawings of my sons 
I scanned it into the computer, but now I have a white box around my fish and ghost. 
See picture in attachment.
Does anyone now how to remove these whiteboxes quickly? Any tips for working with graphics?

I made a game when I was 12 years old on an MSX.

That is my secret. I learned to program by using a MSX.

They (MSX) were great for that purpose! ;>

Nice, welcome. I played around with QBASIC when I was a kid. I finally picked up game development again after ~25 years, also.

Do you people like the newground services? Are there any alternatives out there for putting ads into your game?

Hello,

I am new to this forum. See also new to this forum topic.  I am new to game making, although i did make one before, more than 25 years ago, basis programming  on an MSX when i was 12 years old.
On this moment i am working on a  five level minigame which is almost finished.

It's based on the Invaders tutorial. I like to experiment a little bit with advertising with Newgrounds.
Can anyone explain to me how it works? I included the "show ad" building block but i guess i should make an account as well on Newgrounds on a certain website or something?

Hi,

I am Alfred. I'm new to this forum and live in the Netherlands.
I made a game when I was 12 years old on an MSX. After that first game I stopped and went on focussing on different things in my life. Now i am almost 40 and discovered that i still like gamemaking.

So i decided to spent a little bit of my limited free time on making my second game after more than 25 years.
I am almost finishing this second game. It's based on the invaders tutorial, which i turned into a five level minigame.
