Its been a few weeks and I've completed the first update to Highway Dodger 2!
- New obstacle - Fog
- New soundtrack
- Added fancy new animations and updated some graphics
- Updated text
- More enemy cars
- Improved balance of the game
- A lot of minor bugfixes and tweaks
I have tweaked the game and added some new features, animations and a short how-to play. Some of the animations look really cool, at least for me :D so here they are:


I would love to know what do you guys think? Any constructive criticism is very welcome!

But there is still one thing kinda not working...
I can confirm the error is fixed, but after compiling  "sending to device" never finishes.
It does everything correctly and opens the app on the phone, but it gets stuck at:

Finished building for Android.Replugging my device solves the problem.

Managed to figure out crashing.. had to install/update android sdk (was missing  versions 14-17 i think).
But i found out that this problem made it so i cannot update the game. If i install an older version on my phone, i have to publish a apk file and install the apk in order to update it. Simply testing the game directly doesnt work (does completely nothing, only opens the non-updated game). I am kinda confused atm xd
Do you have the same problem maybe?

I have thought of that, but the only explanation is that google play changed its search algorithm, since before even if you typed the name of the game in the search box, it would be around 20th hit, while now its 1st. I cannot think of any other explanation.

So the game is now almost a year old and I know that you guys like reports on how games do.
In the first 7 months the game made around 20€ in ads (with around 50 installs on devices, roughly 300 downloads), but after the 7 months the downloads and installs skyrocketed compared to before and hit 250-300 installs, 1.5k downloads  in a month (now i get around 20-30€ of revenue monthly).
I am personally quite satisfied with the result, because this was my very first game and I was quite inexperienced.
Since then I have learned a lot and have made a new version of the game, with which I am very happy. (forum link)

The game looks really really good, especially your use of vibrant colors! I really want to try the game out :P

Hey, i am encountering the same problem, with one difference... my game crashes when i switch to selected scenes (can be a bug on my side).

Damn this game is hard :P
Maybe you could do the 1st level a bit differently when you complete it a couple of times, because it gets quite repetitive.
Otherwise keep up the good work!

A complete redesign and rewrite of the original Highway Dodger, with new cars to collect, new powerups and completely revamped gameplay, is here!




How to play:
- Touch or swype on a lane to dodge cars and other obstacles, thats it!

But beware, the speed of cars constantly increases, making it harder to survive with every second that passes by.

Rectangular shape much easier to control. With it i can be sure that player wont stuck somewhere. What is the advantage of circular shape?
It would feel better if you hit your head on a corner of a block. Just add a circular collision, it shouldn't take more than a minute. But thats just my opinion anyway :P

The game looks really good! Love it!
One thing you could try out is changing the collision shapes on the pony, because i think they are rectangular now (right?). I think it would feel a lot better if you made them circular in some places (head).

I get those jagged lines when the ad is sliding in and out. They disappear once its done sliding.

EDIT: Version 5 is now updated and should work on Android now.

I can confirm that the extension works. But i have some weird graphical artifacts when i show a reward video (when the black screen with the "watch" button is sliding in and out).
