Ask a Question / Re: Full Screen for desktop game?
« on: March 14, 2015, 03:49:40 pm »
Yes, using flash you would have to adjust the client size in the settings menu.

However, i recommend that you be patient when you compile a game, the first time will take a while then from then on it will compile faster.

Compiling to Mac or Windows is a much more processor heavy task and therefore takes longer.

PS: I have a MacBook from Full Sail University that was given to us to specifically be able to design and develop games and it still takes about 10min to compile to Windows the first time for each project(Not sure about on the Mac OS, i never use it).

within the test menu there are other test options, after you select the platform, just click test game.

Ask a Question / Re: Newbie: is Stencyl good for card games?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but virtually any 2D game can be made with Stencyl. It really just comes down to the skill of the person making it.

Within a When Updating event on the actor, set the x and y values to whatever location you want to pin the actor to.

I really hope Steam API is added to one of the future versions of Stencyl. During the next couple years I'll definitely be needing some sort of Steam API integration.

If you could, that would be great. :)

I've been messing around with some different block to try to fix it but nothing seems to be working.

It runs at 2-3 FPS even on a small level, so until I can fix this, my game is basically broken lol.

Ask a Question / Tile API collision shapes
« on: March 02, 2015, 09:51:51 pm »
Hi, I'm working on a game that generates its own levels and I've run into a problem.

When creating tiles with Tile API blocks it creates an individual collision shape for each tile, instead of combined the collision shapes like it would if they were placed in the scene editor

Is there any way to combine the collision shapes or recalculate them?

Thanks in advance :)
