Resolved Questions / Can't compile to native target on OS X Yosemite
« on: October 17, 2014, 11:49:00 pm »
I can build my game for Flash, but when I try to build natively the game fails to be built. I'm thinking this might be caused by recently updating my system to Yosemite, but I didn't try building to native before updating so I'm not sure if that's the issue or not. I've attached my log. Thanks for the help in advance!

EDIT: Turns out my issue was not having command line tools installed. The option to install the tools seems to have been removed from Xcode proper, I had to install directly from the command line as described here: http://osxdaily.com/2014/02/12/install-command-line-tools-mac-os-x/ Hope this helps anyone having the same problem!

Yup, that's solved it. Thanks!

I did not use the previews. Here's the ZIP.

Since installing 1.1, the collisions on my player actor are off by one pixel and it seems to glide on the ground a little. This normally wouldn't be a big deal, but the sprite is only 5px high, so it's very noticeable. Trying to adjust the collision box by one pixel makes it sink into the group slightly. Is there anything I can do about this?

It seems like at least some basic bounding box collision will be necessary for this to be useful to most people.

Windows / Mac / Flash / HTML5 / Avoid (WIP)

After a long time of not working on my main project, I reasoned that I have never actually gotten a game to the point of completion, and I really ought to make a simple game I can have at a playable state quickly. And then I did, with programmer art galore.

There's a lot more work I want to do on this, but I'd love to get some initial feedback on it.

It appears to be completely blank when I open it. I guess that's a "no".

This has happened before, and the last time I lost all my game attributes in the process, which was a pain. Is there any way I can avoid that?

I didn't notice this thread earlier, so I started my own. No one has responded to it yet, however, so I'l link to it here.

When I tried to open my game after downloading 1.0.2, I got an error message which said to upload a zip of my game. I have done so along with a screen shot of the error.

I'm planning on submitting the game I'm working on called Ricochet, but time will tell if it'll be anywhere close to worth submitting in a week.

Working! :D Shouldn't take too long to recreate all the game attributes...

I can open it now (very relieving) but when I try to test it, I still get a bunch of syntax errors and undefined methods.

The game won't open in SW. It just sits at the loading screen. How do I zip a game?
