make a black scene  your first and after 0.01 sec on that scene use :
Scene->Game flow -> switch to "your scene" and fade in  for X secs using "black"....

It reacts with the game,
moving , slide in and out from the side etc'

I believe actors is the easiest way to do it.

Ask a Question / actors doesn't show only on android
« on: August 03, 2015, 04:05:40 pm »
Hi guys,

I'm trying to use actors as background (so basically their size is bigger than the scene size).
The thing is when I'm running the game on flash everything works fine but when I'm trying running it on android those "background" actors doesn't show...
anyone has an idea what went wrong?

Things I already checked:

*actors are set to "always active"
*I did some printing to checks to see if actor is created and it looks like everything fine.
*it happens on every scaling method I use.

P.S
It happened before on old game I've done but only on some specific devices , couldn't solve it back than...looks like the same issue  :(

Hi guys,

I just released my first game to google play.
Even though the game mechanics are nothing new I still feels like it was great achievement for me.
Getting the experience of uploading something and cope with all the problems a long the way is great feeling.

the game is an endless jumper between pillars , hard but addicting

You can download and enjoy the game here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Tzuk.HighSquare&hl=en

(Dont firget to sign in with google game service to see the leaderboard) 8)

Any suggestion is appreciated.

sure you have to build  sprite sheets before.
it take some time to master but it defiantly save you lots of headache if you have lots of animations

for more you can read here:
http://www.stencyl.com/help/view/animations/
or just google how to create sprite sheets or somthing...
good luck

Make sure that you import it on the right resolution  (x1 I guess)

you can read about it here : http://www.stencyl.com/help/view/mobile-app-scaling/

If I used that kind of approach koopke, I wouldn't be recruiting any quality people. It was funny though. : ) I'm a published author and all of the misspelling drove me nuts! lol. I hope you were kidding. If you're intending to ridicule, I guess you were trying to make a point?

Yea not everyone speaks English as mother togue... but im sure you got my point  ;)

I think you should open a new post and change the approach a little bit if you really looking for some quality people.
I would go on something more like...

"
"Hay guys, my name is ***
I have cool Idea for a game and me and a bunch of friends were decided to make it happen.
were looking for awesome people to join our team and we will share revenues and beer if everything will go acording to the plane...
If you have some spare time and willing to help , send email to **** and we continue from there.
best regards
****
"

that's basically The approach I would try  :P

anyway like I sayd before, I really wish you good luck with the project

There's tons of relevant information missing here like who are you? whats your background?
do you have some old projects or some early experience?

usually when asking people to invest on something without getting prepaid it is common to show some receipts

good luck with your project anyway :)

I was trying playing it on Samsung galaxy s3.
Like people said above me, graphics great and the total atmosphere looks very professional but...
I didn't like the mechanics, the game is very difficult. I was able getting to level 3 and then I just gave up :P
I would consider change the controlling of the game to buttons instead of tilting maybe .
I think with different mechanics I can really like this game :P

nice work and good luck anyway
