If i create an actor with an attribute I know that i can drag an instance onto the scene and set it's attributes through the inspector, how do i do it programatically from the scene's events with actors that are dynamically spawned?

If i create an instance of an actor at x and y do i then have access to an ID of that instance?

For example in my game at the moment i create a score flash-up on the x and y of the mouse release which has an animation that lasts roughly a second (it shrinks in size).

I know i can do this through blocks but i was just testing the other behaviour to start off with.

is there any way to refer to this actor instance i've created rather than looping through actor of type which gets all instances and last created that could potentially select another actor that's been spawned (if i've got it correct how it works).

Fixed Bugs (3.x) / Weird bug after adding a background

I've got a scene with 3 layers, a background and a couple more with actors on. When i add another background layer I can no longer click on any layers in the palette as i get a weird error showing up. If i don't add the background layers is can click in the palette no problem. Also I've tried various ways to add the background (through the palette plus sign and also attach scene within the background editor. Any help is appreciated.

you need to import a true type font .ttf. there are online converters but they're not very good. what font is it?

how would i go about creating eyes that had pupils that followed the users tap input?

so if the user taps in the top left hand corner (the character would be stationary in the top right hand corner) then the pupils go over to the left of the eyeball. ideally i'd like to do it so it's a smooth tween taking a second or two. any crazy pseudo code ideas are welcome :)

Are there any tutorials out there for creating an audio playlist? I have 10 tracks which i'd like to play one after the other with the option to switch to the next track. I'm going to have a go myself and post my results but i wondered if there was anything existing so that i could compare my results.


Ok here's what i've done and it seems to be working so far.

I created a scene before my main splash/start screen. This pre splash has the first behaviour setup to play the first track. My tracks are called track1, track2 and track3.

On every other scene i simply do the second behaviour to see if i've got to the end of the track and if so play the next one. Where it's checking for 4 is simply where i reset the track count to one.

I'll add some more once i do the next track bit. Please let me know if anyone wants me to add any other functionality. i could probably do a randomizer

maybe try a match the card game with your own pictures. there's probably a pre-built game out there somewhere. a pokemon type game is probably beyond your average newbie level.

so how do i do it so that only the top actor registers the click? the problem i have is that my lower actors behaviour is an actor one but my upper one is a scene behaviour (which seems to kick in before my other one). So when i do my behaviour for the lower one to see if both actors have been clicked on the upper one has already been registered and killed so i can't check if both have been clicked.

Is there any documentation on Event Lifecycle anywhere so i can figure out what is happening when?
