Hey Dincicode,

If you're going to make a tutorial from scratch and make easy blocks for this game, I will definitely buy it. This is seriously awesome stuff.  Keep it up!

This is absolutely gorgeous! We're looking forward to this. I hope you can share this to all stencyl users when there are no bugs left. And of course, the tutorials for the beginners! Man, my jaw just dropped on the video you've shown earlier.

Hi Tidzsi.

We can actually help you but it is a lengthy process.

1.) After you downloaded it, you will attach it to your character.
2.) Go to the behavior of the character
3.) Delete everything that is on the list of the category hierarchy and try to make your own. The ones above will overwrite anything below so if you put "Hit at #0, then "Walk" at #1 and "Run" at #2 , if you got hit,  the hit animation will play first even if you character is walking or running.
4.) You need to create a text attribute for your character.
5.) Go to custom "Green" blocks that has been provided by animation manager.  Use the "loop animation for actor using ___" <--- (text attribute that you made earlier attached on the blank space)"
6.) You need to put the word on the text attribute that you made depending what animation you wanted to play first on the animation category ex. "loop animation for actor using the text HIT. " Make sure the text attribute is not hidden so you can fill that up the same way it is written on the animation category.

We can put a youtube video if you find this one confusing.

@Merrak: I think Undying City is the game that satisfied me the most. I like Pumpkin as well but I can't get a decent score because it was really hard for me hehe. I haven't seen other games but these are the few that caught my attention. If the hurricane did not pass your place, that isometric game of yours could have gone crazy awesome but it was bloody time consuming I think.

Yeah. Thanks to that. I also checked other topics about this looks like my problem will be minimized and can eb solved as well if I try to merge all the elements inside one layer then sending the actor with lower Y axis on the back layer.

I will also attach a very nice example code by ETH productions.

Ask a Question / Changing Z index of character after collision

Hi Guys.

This thing has been a mystery to me for almost a year and it still remains unsolved up to now. I've also read some really helpful topics
about z-indexes changing in real-time but my situation is a lot different. What happens here is that this "explosion actor" should change it's z-index once it hits a "structure actor".  It should appear as if "explosion" should be on the "top most layer" of the scene after the collision but I have no luck in doing this. A lot of times that i just lament and think about something else  whenever I see this thing happen.    :'(

Anyway,  Any help is definitely appreciated and I will attach the screenshot here so you guys can visualize what going on.

I encountered the same problem before. I was able to solve this by drawing the texts on scenes instead of actors. I hope this one helps.
