Is there anyway we could have a space all the way around the screen,so we can place actors off screen, say for instance if I want a button to slide on the screen,I could place it off screen at the top, out of view of the actual screen.this would really help to place actors off screen.

The 2x scale up feature hasn't been implemented yet,so you have to use the blocks ,if using iPad use this,if using iPhone use this.

iphone screen for retina is 640x960,stencyl will create smaller images(320x480) when you import the images, for older devices.

You have to create 2 images  1024x768 for the iPad then in your game use the block that says if using iPad then use this image
And iPhone 960x640 use this image for iPhone.
If you wait I think on stencyl 2.0 the universal will support just using the 960x640 therefore you don't need to create 2 sets of images.and the iPad will resize the retina images.

thank you very much that was a great help.

You have to go into "Custom" in the blocks Palette. There you will find the block "set label width...".

Chit-Chat / Apple threatens to revoke Developer Program membership
« on: February 07, 2012, 08:25:17 am »
Just a piece of information I thought people might find interesting.

Yesterday, Pocket Gamer reported on allegations that several App Store developers are buying their way into Apple's top 25 lists.

According to a Touch Arcade forum member, there are companies out there that utilise bot-farming techniques to ensure that a developer's application breaks into Apple's charts.

Naturally, Apple isn't happy about this.

In a short post on Apple's developer channel, the Cupertino-based company has threatened to revoke a developer's Apple Developer Program membership should it be found guilty of manipulating App Store charts.

Nitty gritty

"Once you build a great app, you want everyone to know about it," the post reads.

"However, when you promote your app, you should avoid using services that advertise or guarantee top placement in App Store charts.

"Even if you are not personally engaged in manipulating App Store chart rankings or user reviews, employing services that do so on your behalf may result in the loss of your Apple Developer Program membership."

While Apple doesn't specifically mention the supposed bot-farming shenanigans, it seems unlikely that the timing is a mere coincidence.

Let's see if Apple's warning has any effect on the App Store charts over the next couple of weeks.

is it possible to create multiple lines for the label for ios,i think what happens is if the text reaches the sides of the device then it'll create another line, whereas i want to change the line myself.
