For example, with the platformer test game, if I run it the behavior works fine but if I import it into my game and attach it to my main character it doesn't do anything

Ask a Question / Default/StencylForge Stencyl Behaviours are buggy (Jumping)

Alright, so about a year or two ago I used Stencyl for fun and I remember that the Run and Jump behavior was super useful for platformers. I tried it out today and my character jumps off the screen everytime, and seems to jump forever. Also, the behaviors included in the platformer starter pack are all buggy, some of them don't do anything at all (such as the jumping one) while some of them (such as the walking one) don't switch animations properly.
Why is this? Was there a Stencyl update that broke all these behaviors or something?

Hi there,

I'm trying to import a 3880x647 image into stencyl for the background, and everytime it resizes to 192 height, no matter what I do. I'm making a platformer with big levels, so they're really long. That means I need this kind of length/height ratio for my background image.

IIRC you want the main actor to create the arm. Make the arm have some actor value in it. Then use behaviour/attributes/set attribute (on the last created actor) to be the main actors self (found in scene/actors)

Thanks for the help, however that sounds a bit confusing for me to follow without some screenshots. Could somebody please provide some?

So, I'm making a 2d shooter game, and the main character is supposed to shoot where the mouse points. I have already completed the behavior for shooting, but I want to attach two sprites together (an arm and a body) so that I can simply make the arm rotate towards the mouse and avoid all the animation stuff. I tried using the always block to make a behavior that would do this, and it's attached below. However, I don't have the option to choose which actor I want my arm to move to.
