Is 3.5 still on hold what comes to active development? I heard Justin has been on long break? :)

Justin is just working with getting Stencyl updated to use Haxe 3.4 and new OpenFL, so i think i want to see results before anything else.. Being able to collaborate would be nice addition though :)

Well first we need to get new openfl to be integrated with Stencyl.. I think Justin is doing that about right now =)

Nice work Stencyl!  :)

btw: If you launch newest build (at least on windows) and after that click about stencyl, it still says beta 4 on windows that opens :P

Flail isn't perfect game true, but  i have to admit that when i played it i got really great nostalgic trip back to my childhood and memories about international karate and IK+.. Nice game, nice memories. So just saying that i liked a lot to play flail =)

I think what Colburt wants is pretty much same than last demo in this thread. Just scroll down and try, it's very very close to HCR.. And please if someone finally figures out how this is done, poke me too.

And what the hell, here's the link..

Haxe is now officially updated to build 3.4, so big question, how's it going with upcoming update to new openfl Justin?

Yeah, i'm doing it as you suggested atm :) It would have been too easy to get it done with pre-shipped behavior anyway :)

I'm sorry Ceosol, but that's just not true, at least acording to official stencylpedia:

It's one of the pre-shipped behaviors and imo it should be working one when it's part of stencyl.

Is there something wrong with pre-shipped onScreen button behavior? I have been trying to use it on multi-touch enabled and my game crash instantly when i touch screen when it's turned on..

Thing is, i have attached this behavior on one of my buttons and it really doesn't matter do i touch button or not. Game just crash instantly if i touch screen of my ipad.  I have tested game without button attached on screen and then it won't crash game when i touch screen, but instantly after i attach the button with pre-shipped behavior it starts crashing on touch. So something is not working correctly on that one..

My wish would be that they get current iteration (3.4) finally completed and after that we start to get build based on haxe 3.4 / openFL 4.5. Overall i have to admit, that current iteration of Stencyl is nearly perfect as it's very stabile and work flow is fairly flawless.. So thanks for past year and best wishes for upcoming one.

Then you got plenty of options where you can go if you are not happy with Stencyl :) Though i must remind, that many of most successful iOS games are currently made with engines lot more expensive than Stencyl.. For example BuildBox which was used for Color Switch costs five times more than Stencyl.. Construct 2 is cheaper if you only made games that won't make any money.. Personally i think that 199 dollars is fairly cheap for whole package and i'm also very willing to pay it in future if Stencyl can keep up with the openFL developing cycle..

For you Vertex better option would be to just use plain OpenFL and Haxe for you game development, it's free so you don't need to wonder about paying.. I personally see that Jon/Stencyl got every right to make us pay for this nice tool..

Currently it seems that Justin is only one who is willing to give comments related to future of Stencyl.. I agree that it's very vague when Jon says that in upcoming future they are just concentrating polishing and fixing bugs..

Congratulations Colburt, you have really done amazing job with your games.. It also proves how great engine Stencyl can be in right hands :) I think it's really insane that your current game seems to be number 5 on appshoppers most downloaded free games list..
