@raeddarweesh, your suggestion would probably the easiest to implement as it would simply increment/decrement the current value and update accordingly rather than writing a whole subset of D&D code, both ideas are great and achieve the same goal I would like to see them both but your button idea would be great as a short term alternative to the current system as it is quite cumbersome, as I now have 2 active accounts I will +2 on both ideas :) lol

I found this subject to be a real headache so I opted to only use and store assets I have commercial license to use, not only is it hard to find consistency with free assets its also a copyright gamble, imagine making a game that goes viral to find your assets are from a questionable source, your success will quickly turn into your demise, there are many sites out there that sell packs for very reasonable prices I found the small price is well worth the peace of mind.

+1 For sure, I would make the buttons far less intrusive just a small arrow in the corner and the text field more like a comment box so you can explain sections of blocks and just not name them, the option for multi-line comments (just as with comments) would also be appropriate I think, this really would help tidy my workspace

just create an "autorun.inf" file on the disk and point it to your game exe, you can do lots of other stuff like add an icon and set the disk name.

All platform have bugs, I'm still waiting for a 3 month old report to be fixed in AGK and no one at all could use Game Maker last week because there license server went down, its just one of those things you have to accept as a developer because if you ever make a successful game/app with 300k users on 1000 different device types you will also be placed in this position, I know the bugs can be frustrating while trying to learn the workflow of a new IDE but I assure you Stencyl is worth the effort, I have access to and fair knowledge of many dev IDE's but Stencyl stands leaps and bounds above the rest when it comes to ease of use, productivity and support, and is just as functional, almost every bug report gets a direct response from a in-house dev and that believe it or not is a rare thing.

I lost faith in Stencyl at first to, I had crashes and bugs on the first day and dropped it, had another look a week or so later and got past the bugs and discovered an awesome game making program and from whats been discussed here in the forums about future features means its going to get better and better.  (local variables? Jon? lol)

look in your workspace folder for the API and update with the manager in that directory, I dont think Stencyl auto detects if the API is already installed on the system and uses its own

Steam ...... you could be onto something there as its also been a bit laggy the last few days, and my 2nd monitor just went on the blink so don't know if that's related, looks like I'm going to have to spend a few quid but got a dam motorbike to repair so its down to 1 monitor for the short term and I hate working in a single view...... might check Cash Converters

Stencyl keeps freezing (Not Responding), I'v run CCCleaner, cleaned the reg, defragged my HDD, punched my monitor a few times and prayed to Ja himself, still no go, every 10 minuets or so Stencyl and Windows have a falling out and its becoming overly annoying, anyone else suffering this fate??

I often get minor glitches after an update but i find cleaning the project after import helps, I am also uising the latest build and my projects are working fine, roll back to a previous version that worked for you and check the project, export again and reimport with the latest build, its possible the export could be corrupt?

math, a database and a server side script, the clicker type games generate gold and other resources on a time/level basis, your app would need to ask the server how much time has passed since the last update and add the (say gold mine output) for each mine to the total of gold the user already has

this is pretty advanced usage and I doubt there will be a "drop in" solution, your going to need to understand php and mysql scripting and have access to a public server, it is very possible yes but its going to take a bit of work

you could achieve the same kind of thing storing the information locally but should the user uninstall the app they would lose all there resources and start from scratch each time which kind of defeats the point
