So I have a few Stencyl files from 2016, and each game I've tried running on HTML5 has build errors. Eventually, I plan to run it on iOS and Android once it runs on HTML5. I've attached the screenshots of the errors for the three games I've attempted it for and a log file for one game which got to that point of compiling. I suspect it's because I'm using a newer version of Stencyl, and these were created in whatever version I used in 2016. Is there a converter to update these files to stencil 4.1.1? Ideally, I'd like to compile them for the latest iOS and Android and hopefully maintain them in the coming years. This is because I made these games as a teen and would like to preserve them.

Drup is an exciting endless dodging game, where you play as a white “drup”. The only defense you have is your tail, which you can use to block incoming attacks from the enemies. As you play the game you receive “Evolve Points” which can be used to purchase perks, such as:

Glitch: adds a glitch effect to the tail to increase chances of hitting enemies
Two Tails: Gives the white “drup” two tails to defend itself with
Speed x1.6: Increases speed by 160%
Evolve points x1.5: Multiplies income by 1.5.

The game has 2 epic game modes, Classic and Waves. Classic, is a endless gamemode where the enemies spawn at constant rate. On the other hand, Waves, spawns enemies at once in quantities in relation to the wave the player is on.

The game also features “drup” customization, where players can purchase visual changes to fit their liking.

The visuals in your game scene are nice and minimalistic, But I don't find your menus and buttons as nice, they seem very cluttered and some of the colours feel a bit off. Perhaps look at games like Eufloria or Prune to get some inspiration. Consistent art is one of the main factors in a successful game.

The game mechanic is very interesting, but I'm not sure Im a fan of the direction you are taking with the in game currency etc, all feels very removed from the strange unique game play. The game over screen feels very out of place with the money earned and the big square and door icon etc.

I would recommend trying to find a theme that fits well with the minimalist nature of the game scene. Remove the big white boxes for starters.

I understand your points on the visual aspect and I will definitely try to change it. The only reason I have the currency system is to enhance replay value. Also if you have another idea for a way to EARN perks, I'd be happy to listen. (Instead of u just earning it in-game via drops)

So I added a soundtrack, pause menu, main menu, settings option, More reasons to earn "Evolve Points" (Yes, that's what Im going to call my in-game money).

And i also made a beta for google play.

I have added alot of stuff today:
     - Currency System
     - A Wave Mode (Work-in-Progress)
     - Color Options for your character
     - Added incentives to Earn money, as you need to buy INSANE mode and other perks
     - Added a cool intro
     - Modified the visuals a bit. (Made it look less grungy)

In the gameplay you will see what I worked on today, The menu election for the difficulty and a end screen when the game ends. The difficulty effects the speed of the enemies and and the amount of enemies can be on screen at once.

Hey, well done, this looks really interesting. I like the sounds of the perks but not sure about the currency system, how about if you can collect potential perks on screen as you are playing? that have an effect for a limited time?

I could do that too, but i have also have temporary perks in mind like you said.

I have already added a blue "drup" which clears the screen of enemies, and i also have plan to think of other, like slow down enemy speed for 30 secs and so on.

The currency system adds a reason to replay and it will also be used to buy visuals things like a certain colored glow around the character and even unlock the INSANE DIFFICULTY, as well as a Wave based mode. The gameplay is of the ENDLESS mode.

Update 1:

So I started working on a Perk Menu which shows up before the start of each game. It has sorta been inspired by the game "Into the Dead". Each perk will cost 500 points/dollars (whatever the currency will be when I start making it).  Like stated in my initial post, players will have to buy a perk before every game. This is what the menu looks like:

Hi there, I have been working on a mobile game for the past 3 days, it is called "Drup"



In this game you play as a sprem like creature, your objective is to survive as long as possible by dogging the RED drups. You can also use your tail to block their attacks, The tail will break, but it regenerates fast.

Note: the number on the top left is for testing purposes, it keeps track of the amount of enemies on screen.

To do list:
- Add a currency system, income will be based on what difficulty the game is played at.
- Perks to buy with the currency system.
  - Glitch: The tail will seem to have a gilltchy motion, which will result in greater enemies killed using the tail.
  - Two tails: As the title says, 2 tails.
  - Speed Up: Greater speed, this perk can be bought multiple times and the speed will be stank on top.

*Perks will be have bought before each game, and it doesn't carry over to the next game, (Expect the speed perk)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
