I appreciate the reply, but the self block won't fit in either of those locations.  Is there any alternative to how I am doing it that would work perhaps?

I know I'm missing something here, but I can't figure out what.  I want my hero to display an animation while he is jumping and the down button is pressed.  I'm using the when updating (always) event.  All I figure I'd need to do is click the dropdown that says actor 1 and select self.  But the only options that comes up is actor 1 and actor 2 which produces an error seeing as there is no actor 1.  I know this is a noob question, but I'm having difficulty figuring it out and it's driving me crazy.

It would be neat if the Prongers in the crash course did this, but unless I missed it, they don't.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find it if it has.

I have an Actor that is an enemy, much like the goomba from the first Super Mario game.  I want him to walk left until he hits a tile and then proceed to walk right until he hits another tile, then once again continue left, etc.

I managed to do this a couple months ago with one of my games before there was an event pane in the behaviors menu.  Yet I'm starting to use Stencyl again and can't figure out what to do.

Any and all help is appreciated,

Alright, here's what I got, the player gets hit by an enemy and 1 is subtracted from his health.  Works good, except there is no control to how the player is being hit.  Most of the time when the enemy hits the player it does two damage because there is no control to time in between (sorry if this makes absolutely no sense, it's hard for me to explain)

Basically what I want is for the enemy to hit the player, subtract 1 from health, and make the player invulnerable for .5 seconds so combination damage isn't done immediately if the enemy smashes into him again. Here's my code thus far~

Worked like a charm!  I feel silly that the answer was so simple, thanks all the same though!

Hey, I'm making a Super Mario-esque game.  My actor spawns on one side of the level, when he moves to the other side to where my enemies are, I'm not sure how to make the enemies begin their behaviors--  Does anyone know what a standard way to do this is?  I'm sure the issue has a lot to do with my amateurish understanding of how creation occurs.  Sorry if this has been asked before~

Just in case I'm not making any sense, here's the game (Just jump over the water and go right a bit to see the enemies (weird little badger things) just spawn and sit there when they should be pacing on creation) and a screenshot of the enemy's behavior.
