##### Resolved Questions / [SOLVED] Help with getting top,left coordinates from rotated object
« on: June 29, 2016, 02:53:32 am »
Hi all,

Thanks for all the good help on this forum, it helps me a lot!

I've got a problem though… I'm making a game where I have to draw a line from the center of actor A to the top,left of actor B.

The actor B is following actor A and B is rotating with inertia.

The problem I'm facing now is how to get the the right top,left  coordinate of actor B. I've tried using :
xB' = cos(direction of B)*(xB-xA_center) - sin(direction of B) * (yB - yA_center) + xA_center
yB' = sin(direction of B)*(xB-xA_center) +cos(direction of B) * (yB - yA_center) + xA_center
But it gets offsetting as soon as A moves…

Can you help me?

Thanks!

Hi all,
For my first game with Stencyl, I've made a true classic 8 bit Platformer game featuring my own family.

You can play this game at the Arcade: http://www.stencyl.com/game/play/33093
Comments and rating are really appreciated over here!

This short game was made as a new year greetings for 2016.

So I wish all of you a happy and adventurous year!
Thank you so much Stencyl crew for this great software!

Cheers,
BC
