« on: June 19, 2018, 08:22:54 am »
Hey everybody!

I wanted to pop in here to let you know that my game Circl’r is released! Now, the game is built in Godot but since I started working on it in Stencyl I thought I would post here as well. Mostly I just want thank this community for helping me and most importantly, inspiring me. Since my gamedev journey started here I wanted to swing by and give back to this community :)

https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/circlr/id1359043449?mt=8

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions/ thoughts! :)

I’ll post again in a week or two letting you all know how everything goes and hopefully some numbers.

Sorry to hear that you haven't figured out the tile-movement yet. I remember I couldn't figure it out either, and to make it work with collisions as such as well seemed impossible. But I'm sure it's doable.

I hope you figure it out eventually, I really like your idea for this game and your restrictions. Not that far away from what I had in mind a while ago :)

Keep looking, I'm sure you'll be figuring it out soon!

Glad to hear you are still at it. Sad that you are leaving Stencyl. But I understand,  I myself have actually also started learning programming. But I'm using the Godot game engine, which is growing on me and I have to say, with the help of Stencyl, the logic and the code is so much easier to understand and learn. Like you I would also recommend Stencyl for people starting out. Good luck and I will be following your adventure on the Unity site :)

Sad to hear this! But do rest, gain your strength and come back with renewed energy :) We'll be waiting.

Awesome! The problem is the time zones. You always stream at like 5 in the morning here Ceosol :P But I've been watching HelloComics(who's using Stencyl) stream who is streaming in the same time zone as here and I love it. I can't contribute that much to the streaming community, I rarely have time to stream, but I love watching Stencylers while I work on other things.

I have been watching this guy for a while, and he's amazing. I love his videos and he has taught me so much. He must be on Stencyl TV! :)

Good luck man and keep at it! (I haven't figured out any ideas yet for your next tutorials)

Also, if the music dosen't play at first when you hit the "on" button, try and reload the page and it usually works. Why this is I have no idea, if anyone has any suggestions I would be thrilled!

Hey all!

I have been using Stencyl for some time now and it just recently hit me to try and make some sort of app/widget instead of a game. So I set out to try and update my website with a new type of music player. The big thing was that it had to be in html5. Long story short it's now done and working surprisingly well. You can see it in action here: www.tedwennerstrom.com

Next up is optimization and improvement. Any tips and recommendations is appreciated.

I mostly made this thread because I love how much I'm able to do with Stencyl and to show that it's not only for making games, it can be used to make so much more :)

Also, I would love to see similar stuff people have made, apps, software or widgets that are not games. So if you have anything to show just post it and share your experience!

Thank you Colburt! :D

Yeah, I haven't actually added any sounds or music yet. I will get to that tomorrow.

That's a very good suggestion, I've seen that people get confused as to why they can't shoot anymore when I've showed it on my phone, so that's a really good idea!

Nope, only the one there is now. I should probably add more enemies, just haven't had the energy to do that yet :P

Alright, a new test version is up on game jolt!

http://gamejolt.com/games/circlr/222956

I'm getting really close now for release, I have only the last, really fun parts left and that is implementing the pay-for-no-ads thing, the actual ads and a better tutorial screen.

Once again, let me know if you have any feedback on the game or what could be improved :)

Happy Stencyling!
