Paid Work / Looking for developer [Paid work] - Quiz/trivia game
« on: November 07, 2016, 08:53:37 am »
Hi Guys,

My name is Tomasz and I'm looking for a stencyler to create a quiz/trivia game behavior (or reskin ready finished game) for me.  I have an idea for a quiz/trivia game for kids with a twist but don't have time (I work full time in construction) to get to it. If you have a complete quiz/trivia game that would be even better ;-) I will still need someone to add some stuff but that would be great start. Please let me know if you're interested, Thanks

Works ok so far. I do flying up, left and right with gravity and it works ok. Thanks

btw camera following dummy actor works. just had to put him behind background and delay following and now camera looks ok,   :D

Hi colburt187,

It's four way movement - 3 way controlled (up, left, right) + gravity. One solution I found but was not able to test yet is to create dummy (transparent) actor and make him follow (slide to the x,y center of) my actor and let camera follow the dummy  :D Watchathink ?

iPhone / iPad / Android / Re: Owen's Odyssey, now on Android and iOS!
« on: September 01, 2016, 06:04:23 pm »

I know this is reply to an  old post but I just saw your game and have a quick 2 questions:

1. Was Owen's Odyssey created in Stencyl ?

2. If so, how did you managed to follow Owen on the scene without camera being very choppy ? It looks so smooth.

Thanks in advance suitcasenuke if you get a chance to reply!

Ask a Question / 4-way movement very choppy
« on: September 01, 2016, 04:25:15 pm »
Hi guys,

I just implemented 4-way movement behavior and it is very choppy  :(  Is there any way that the movements (moveup for example) be more smooth like jumping. Now it looks like my actor is being teleported there and camera follows his very fast and is shaky  :D

Please help

Ask a Question / Re: Can i detect multi-touch inside a polygon region?
« on: September 01, 2016, 11:55:55 am »
Northfield82 idea is good but execution . . .   any pointers?

How can I control one actor when the other is being pressed on ?

And how do you attach one actor to the other? I'm using "follow target" from forge but cant tell if itsworking.

thanks in advance for help

Thank you TheIndieStation but after reading up about regions and people not advising on using them I think I'll just create transparent actors attached to my actor and when touched it will determine the movement. You think it will work? Thanks
