Extensions / New Music A.I Extension (Free):
« on: June 06, 2018, 10:22:22 am »
75% of players pause background music within games, mostly because of repetitiveness!

Jukebox V1 is a web service that allows devs to stream music to their players, based on the players music taste. Our closed beta currently is currently only for unity, but if we get enough interest on this forum we will also add support for stencyl devs too!

Jukebox V2 will then add a monetization element, where developers can be paid per music stream. Release should be Q4 this year.

Our aim is to create an a.i radio that can enhance gameplay for players, increase player retention and add a new revenue stream for game developers.

Here’s the link, if you’re interested in signing up!

OK, so what you need to do is ask for someone to code an "extension". There are no blocks for dropping outside website API/SDK code straight into Stencyl.

Apologies, i misread your post ( i've had too many late nights recently!), we know we have to build an extension and have planned extensions for various codeless platforms. We are looking to speak to game devs specifically for feedback on a couple of features we want to implement ( as well as the core idea)

So you are proposing for us to code your jukebox API into our games?

For mainly codeless platforms like stencyl, the idea is to use a block with an api key generated from the corresponding website.

Hey Stencyl Communicty,

I hope this title got your attention! My team pitched an idea to Adeo Ressi ( close friend of Elon Musk and VC). This pitch was conducted at Start up weekend at Google and we won best pitch presentation. Adeo also loved the idea and one of his company directors is giving us guidance.

Version 1 of idea:
I posted this idea a while ago on the stencyl forum: https://twitter.com/TrickJazz/status/851343637518712832

The idea we pitched is the next version:
A premium music streaming api for game devs that need background music and decreases download size of apps and increases music variety.  We have a lot of music producers interested so music supply isn't an issue.

We now have a team of crazy developers ( some winners of Google / nasa coding competitions!) and can build deployable version of this API. We are looking to speak with as many game developers as possible now.

If you're interested in having a quick chat let me know!

Thanks

Hety Stencyl community,

My studio has an upcoming kickstarter campaign for a game series we've been working on. Let us know what you think of the concept! It links gaming and music discovery. We managed to get permission / licenses from 100's of music producers!

Hey Stencyl community,

Thought I would share this video as part of an up and coming kickstarter campaign. Through Stencyl I found a way to combine my love of gaming, music production and skill sets learnt as a digital consultant. I've have been working with  hundreds of independent music producers to make this series. It's been a blast and I hope to get anyone interested involved, as this is part of a substantially larger idea!

Go to  the actor then click on the collision tab ( next to events ). I've found in the past that if the collision shapes aren't big enough i.e ( 10x10) they often phase through each other.

Do you mean the code blocks? Try re-opening the behavior you are working on.

Thanks for your reply. I actually meant the blocks within the extensions tab, within the palette

Hi Everyone,

I'm a very new Mac user. Having an issue with extensions. I can see that the extensions are enabled, but I cannot see any of the blocks :S Any idea why this is happening?  Everything else is running fine. I have the latest version of Stencyl and I can also load games onto my iPhone.

Thanks!
