Chit-Chat / Re: Stencyl seems to be kinda dead
« on: February 06, 2018, 02:14:36 am »
What happened to Jon? When has he posted anything lately? Is he still at Stencyl?
He is the most mysterious owner of a product I've ever seen. You just can't find any info or picture of him anywhere.

Suggestion Archives / Re: Consider Nape Physics instead of Box2D
« on: December 01, 2017, 02:38:13 am »

Hi, is it still the case? When I watch some youtube video of using Nape Physics, I just think it's crazy fast, while when using Box2D actors we have to watch out not to use too many.

Is anyone able to update the Label Extension that comes with Stencyl, so that we can align TEXT both ways - Horizontal &Vertical to the attached actor?  I have attached image explaining what I mean, what I need :)

Dialog Extension / Re: Help i cannot install dialog extention

Take the following files

Put them in your stencyl workspace. You can find it by opening Stencyl and going to Debug > View > View Workspace Folder.

The .zip folder should be extracted. Make sure you only get one folder, not multiple layers of folders, and it's named correctly. If you did it right, the following paths should be valid.

Just move the .jar files.

Reload Stencyl and try it out.

You can use the sample game to start with. Grab that from the link above in the sample-games folder. Import it to Stencyl by dragging it into your games library.

You can watch TheIndieStation's tutorial series for more, and you can search/browse this forum as well.,40279.0.html

Hi Justin
what happened to the link, can't acces it ?!

One workaround is to add a symbol to your text that you will never use (I picked ~ for The Lonely Square) and when your text reaches that symbol, end the current text and start drawing text below it (or whatever you are doing to the text).

Hi Abigayl

could you show me the code for that ?  How do I stop drawing and contenue from where I have stopped?
