well i just discovered i had to adjust the settings in stencyl. the collision detectors were not setup correctly. now it is working fine.

Cant jump using the files that came with the book. i looked at the command in the program and im pressing the correct key assigned. and still wont jump. ive found that i have to convert all these files as well. perhaps not compatible with the latest version of stencyl?
